Good morning AFN'ers! :cough:

This is Charlotte, an Original Amnesia at 81 days. 84 days will complete 12 weeks. This snuck up on me because I got a little tired counting days and was watching for the leaves to yellow to start paying attention... Other strains are right on track, but I have a few questions for experienced auto growers.

:helpme: Fox tailing and new white hairs - I've read allll over the place and if there is a scientific consensus about the meaning I have yet to find it - but I DO know it's not uncommon, esp. in Sativa strains and also that it happens at the end and it may be a last gasp to get fertilized. What does this mean as far as harvest time, if anything?

:helpme: The trichomes are mostly cloudy/white with just a few clear. I'm OK with that if 12 weeks is the "limit" for autos (I read that somewhere...), but in your experience, have you had a harvest where they were finished without the yellowing fan leaves?

I'm not in a rush to harvest and I want to let the ladies go as long as they desire. My concern is letting them go too long so that they hermie or something, so is there ever a case where you just go by the trichomes at a certain point? I'd hate to miss the bud fattening that happens when the leaves yellow!

OH - one last pic - this is a Haze 2.0 (I call her Hazel LOL) and she has the same thing but look at the size of those calyxes! I busted a few open to see if they were seeds but they are not. Again, she's pretty GREEN for such an old gal! :roflcry:

I appreciate your comments! Thanks, friends!

I've grown several strains of autos and never had the leaves turn yellow. It looks like all your pistols are dryed and unless you want a few amber try's I would say she is ready to chop.

 THANKS so much, namvet25! Just the kind of experienced answer I was looking for... Wasn't sure if I had to wait for the yellow leaves, and sounds like I don't especially if they are at 12 weeks! What a relief...

Thanks to your answer I also learned dried pistils are another clue - I was wondering where the heck they went... :smokeit: Just made "feeding time" a whole lot simpler, too - here I thought I'd flush the ones with yellow leaves and mildly feed the others, but they're all getting a flush instead!

Thanks again, I appreciate it! :D
