Hey guys, before my 5 regular seeds from Demon Seeds arrive I would really like some help setting up. I have fucked up 2 grows before this, except they weren't autos, 1 reason was over watering and then my last plants witch i killed about 3 weeks go, were EXTREMELY slow growing because of the soil I had them in.

Anyway I picked up some Canna Coco the other day, hoping it will be good for the autos, only have 1 bag of it so may need more, any good pot sizes for breeding autos outdoors? Really want to breed the CDA's together and get a fairly large amount of seeds.

Should i mix the Coco with Perlite or something? Or will straight Coco be ok? Money is a real problem for me right now, i have a few nutes, seaweed extract and some slow realse nutes, (Heard autos hate them though...) And i heard the first few days of Autos life are really sensitive to light, should i keep them in the shade for a few days? Followed by direct sunlight in the next week or 2? And last question is should i stick to my method of Container Germination or should i get them straight into the Coco.

Thanks for all the effort and stuff guys, love this forum:peace:!

Welcome Iced :smokebuds:

I don't know squat about outdoor growing but someone will be along to help with that.
What I do know is that there are Zero nutrients in Coco and you will need to add everything the plant needs via nutrients. Sounds like you don't have enough....(nutrients)
My advice is see if you can return your coco for some nice organic soil. A good organic soil will provide a base of nutrients to help the plants along early in life. I use Fox Farms Happy Frog :D
Have a search/look around, all the info you need is right here in these pages waiting for you :peace: Good luck

Cheers buddy :) Does Bat Mix work ok?

Hey Iced. :smokebuds:

I'll second rob's recommendation. Have a read through the Organics section bro: ORGANICS

Tons of great info in there about all different types of organic soils, including DIY mixes that are very affordable.

Thanks man! Will do! I was accaully looking through my garage and found a brand new bag of composted cow manure, heard autos love the stuff, any thoughts on how that would go with the coco coir?

Bat mix is fine but I advise letting the seedlings grow before adding small amounts to the soil gradually over the weeks as it can be quite acidic - Ph varies depending on species and age of bat poo etc so you may wish to but some in water and take a Ph reading to get a rough idea

thanks for the help guys, i looked it up and i think im going to stick with 30% Composted Cow Manure and 70% Coco Coir. Do you think that medium will be alright?

Seeds have just arrived :) 3 of them planted!

Gave other 3 plants to my mates and planted another one in pure coco a week ago, a bit slow and stretched but she/he looks happy! Im a bit worried about the nutrients for her since shes in straight coco. At what age should I be adding Nutes?
