I have the same problem around here. Plus we run into extended rainy periods that make it very hard to feed the plants as the rain keeps them wet. I would suggest adding 4 grams of 17% aluminum sulfate per gallon of soil. It's faster acting that sulfur and should help to keep your pH in check.
