I'm going to be growing 2 Amnesia and 2 Northern Lights x Big Bud. Plan on starting the seeds out in 10 gallon smart pots outside. What is the lowest night temps that I can plant these ladies and not stunt them? Thanks

Night time temps over 10 degrees is safest but if ya use some thermal mass and somehow get more heat to the soil. .black weed barrier on soil and some black rocks in the sun help. If ya can swing it a row cover or cloche....or just start indoors and move out when ready.

Thanks for the help. Is that 10 degrees C or F? Our highs in the next 10 days are high 70's-low 80's and 50-54 C. Thinking about putting them out covered in plastic wrap till they pop through the soil.

Celsius u American! !!! ;) id keep em inside for a little until they are stonger....and warmer.

You could start the plants indoors in smaller containers and tier them in to the 10 gallon ones after hardening them off when the temps outside get more stable and favorable for you. This way you wouldn't "lose" as much growing time as waiting, and the plant may also develop a longer taproot for better overall growth.

Tier = use 2 solo cups, inner has bottom cut out so it can be put directly into a larger container.
Harden off = Gradually putting a plant in direct sunlight for longer periods so it's not burned by it's full energy.

Guerilla ya I'm one of them Americans. Ha ha. I would love to be able to start them out inside. It's not possible right now because of the living situation. I used to grow inside only but had to leave it behind. Really sucks. I guess I will wait a little longer before I try the seeds. Thanks for all your help I appreciate it.

Soil temperature is a big factor, soil should be at least 50 degrees and if possible closer to 60 degrees F if possible before you set the plants out

Thanks oldtser I think I am going to try and talk people into letting me start seeds in the garage along with my watermelon and pumpkins.
