I just harvested my first two Pandoras this week. I am very disappointed in the bud size. They are tiny. I am at 12 + weeks. Still have 4 plants yet to harvest but buds don't look any bigger. Could it be lights? I used two sun systems 150w HPS lights. I am adding a T5 to next grow for blue spectrum. Read somewhere autos need this for vegetative stage. I had six plants . Maybe too many for the amount of light I had?

Sorry to hear your first run with auto's didn't quite do the business for you!
There's a wealth of info about how to get the best out of auto's in the Stickies at the top of the new growers forums.
The Life Cycle of Autoflowering cannabis would be a great one to read.
As far as the lights go - mabye you're a little short on light, but not by much.
On the next round, stick up a thread in New Growers Forums and some experienced auto folks should be able to give the advice you need to grow some monsters!

Yeah I am with Blue, Not by much. My first Auto grow I had three under one 150 watt HPS. One of them was about three foot high, but lots of stretch, the other two wer about 1 1/2 feet. I got fifty one grams out of all three. Since then I have had smaller ones and ones that came out like the awesome ones you see other's grow.
Here is a good way to think of things. Bury your seed deep enough to get a good foothold and a good stalk growin' about a half inch deep. you can always add a bit of soil if they start to stretch too much. Let them stretch but not too much for the first week, then start lowering the light. I have noticed with auto's if you keep them small at first, they resist the temptation to grow tall with a short internode distance, which will compound the size of the buds. Once they get in the habit of growing furiously towards the light, the usually stay in "grow mode" Using a fan helps with the vigorous growth pattern by strengthening the stalk, helping it to absorb as much nutrients as possible.
I believe it is these first few weeks of growth that will determine how well they do the rest of the grow.

Thanks, makes sense. One other question about trichomes . Do autos turn amber? Two of my plants are loaded and they have all turned white but very little amber. The flowers are all dried and I think it is ready to harvest. Waiting on amber?/
