had it nearly 2 years not had a problem with it so far ive got the ph testing kit but everytime I go to calibrate it its spot on

Well here's what I bought and why.
Hope I made the right choice.
I bought the newer hanna 98100 and a spare probe for 66.00 free shipping.41.00 for the meter and 25.00 for the replacement probe.
I wanted the bluelab pen for 88.00 but I think I read you cant replace anything.
Next was the extech with refillable probe, think that was around 96 but with xtra probe it was over a 100.00 plus xtra refill
When all was said and done I bought it direct at hanna, best overall price for both items. even beat e bay and amazon for both items.
comes with all solutions too.
So we shall see.

Just remember to keep the probe wet at all times

That looks like a good meter, easy to use, and robust. It would be good to hear how you are getting on with it in a few months. Refillable probes (electrodes) can be rescued sometimes, but I have a feeling that the gel filled ones are a bit more robust. the replaceable electrode sounds like a good call. Make sure that you use the correct storage solution, it's usually saturated KCl (with visible crystals in the bottom) but check for your specific model. Refillable ones usually only need to be refilled because the internal solution is not saturated anymore, storage in the correct solution usually prevents that.
