What is the latest best buy for a PH pen these days? My HM Digital PH80 is starting to go I think. Takes longer to get readings now and have to calibrate often.

I'd like to get one that has a replaceable probe sensor assuming those are legit and make sense from a cost perspective.

I have the Hanna HI 98100, which does everything you want/need. Actually, I have 2 of these meters (providing much better assurance), but I haven't pulled them out for years. I don't pH-adjust my nutes, using AN pH Perfect and recently switching to MegaCrop. Not seeing any problems (deficiencies, excesses, lockout, etc.) getting very good quality with average yield, I see no reasons to check or adjust pH.

I used AN PH perfect nutes before switching to GL mega crop. Using coco for medium. And I do RO filtering of our city tap water. I want ph 6.2 in my solution and after I add the MC to my RO water PH is 5.7. I was told to aim for 6.2 by @slowandeasy and that is what I have been doing for the last month and the grow is growing great so I don't want to change my approach. So I need a meter and PH up. Maybe one day I'll not use a meter, but for now I'm all in. That Hanna looks pretty good actually. Thanks.

You'll always use a pH meter... just better ones... the little yellow ones (pick the brand) are finicky and just like the price... cheap. Blue labs is top notch, but will cost$$$
I just picked up a pH meter as a spare, think it was around 45$, waterproof replaceable tip. Settles down quickly... it's only been a few weeks, but so far am impressed.

Apera Instruments PC60 Multi-parameter Tester simply tests pH, EC, TDS, Salinity and Temperature in an accurate, quick and reliable manner for most regular water solutions' testing such as hydroponics, aquaculture, pools and spas, water treatment, cooling towers, etc.

I was looking at that one today after searching amazon. Looks like a decent unit. You can put different probes on it too but the glass globe is all I need. And the probes are not that expensive. I'm pretty close to adding it to my shopping cart but want to see if anything else comes up. Thanks man.

Looks nice. That is the price point where I think you get better than the really cheap crap. But that baby doesn't have a replaceable probe. But a new one costs as much as a new probe. So you can get two of them for the price of a higher end pen that has a replaceable probe. So what the hell man. Might as well just buy the pens like yours instead of the ones with replaceable probes. Might as well just get new ones and toss when not working.
