I tested my runoff cuz my plant has a mag deficiency and it is around 6 with using water that is 7 so dose this mean my soil is around a 5? What can I use to PH up? I have normal PH up but don't want to kill my plant as it is in roots organic soil. My stalk, stems and under sides of my leaves are purple and now some leaves are getting yellowing and purpling on the tops of the leaves with a little bit of dead spots on some. Do I just use baking soda?

No nutes yet but I have the roots organic player pack I transplanted straight in too roots soil 1.5 weeks ago. These are photo plants, there clones I got about 2 weeks ago. They had a mag def when I got them. Will post a picture in a few days cuz I am going out of town thanks.

Well talked to the guy at the dispensary and he told me the color is normal for this strain. The yellow on the one leaf is only on like 5 other leaves and there old leaves, all the new growth is green on top and purple on bottom. Its growing fast so guess I might be in a panic for nothing.

Yh the purpling is from the strain and the purple of stems can be fro a number of things temps, humidity, deficiency and Stress during LST not something i worry about at all.. If you want to raise your PH the add some garden lime to the top of the soil lasts a good 4-5 weeks very easy to use :smokebuds:

Careful with lime, "less is more."

That yellowing doesn't look normal, just saying that your lower leaves will die doesn't explain how advanced it is at this point. I've used Roots before, it was WAY too acidic for cannabis and contributed to a poor crop. You should check the pH of the soil by doing a runoff test BEFORE you plant, then amend as necessary to get the pH where it needs to be. Oyster shells/flour work well as a pH buffer.

This phenomenon is THE reason why I don't use Aurora Innovations products anymore. The profuse fungus gnats I got only contribute to that...

Ya I guess I will start adding lime to my soil a few weeks before I plant in it. The yellow was only on a few leaves and has not progressed. I have got gnats or spider mites a few times and don't worry about them any more due to the help from people on this sight, Neem and Damascus earth works great :) I don't know temp or humidity but I know my room is warmer than the rest of my house. Its the only plant out of 8 that is doing this, the other 7 are green. It is the only plant in the roots soil cuz I was trying the soil out.

I like the oyster shell idea more than the lime, sounds like it would last longer.

Well was drunk a few days ago and watered my plants LOL. I used PH up on my cholope in a drunk stuper and so far nothing has changed. I might try it again as it seams to have not killed anything and the plant is not growing at all as it is.
