I really went and did it now! Lol! I set myself up a indoor grow this weekend. It’s certainly not complete - all I have is a great tent with an amazing light (that I built from a kit!) and a few girls in it. But, it’s a work in progress. I’ll share more details tomorrow but I wanted to create the thread and post a few pictures.

Tent: Unit Farm 1680D 5’x5’x7’
Light: Grower’s Lights HLG600H 3000k Samsung V2 quantum board LED kit + dimmer

The only down-side to this weekend’s adventure was the discovery that at least 3 of my 4 Blue Headwreck plant’s (started from ‘regular’ seeds) are phreakin’ MALES!!!! Ugh! I had to pull 3 nice looking plants out. All the plants in the tent were started and have been growing under a 4’ long 4-bulb T5 fixture with 6500k bulbs. It has been my ‘starting area’ for the plant’s I have outside. I had truly hoped I’d get 2 females. So, if the 4th plant turns out to be a boy, I’m only going to have 1 photo in the garden. I’ve got 2 autos in there right now; but I’ve got plenty of seeds to play around with. So, I may just pop some more seeds. I’m going to think on it for a day or two.

I still need to get 2 inline fans, some ducting, some monitors and a carbon filter for the tent. I also need to finish a wiring project to bring dedicated power to the room it’s in; so I can have all the grow stuff on it’s own circuits. It’s a work in progress.

I hope some people will hop on the bus and follow along and help me find my way to the finish line! I wonder how many will recognize the homage to my favorite comics in my journal name??

Girls looking real healthy!

Thanks! Wish one of those Blue Headwreck had turned out female. Sure hope the last one I have growing is a girl! Hope you’ll keep checking in and help me limping along!

I’m really jealous mate. Great space to grow your weed [emoji1303]

Thank you, sir! I’m jealous of your talents! What you did with that soda pop bottle grow was nothing short of amazing! I’d sure appreciate any help you can give me along the way. I’m following your efforts.

I got my 8” Hyper-Fan Stealth and 8” Phresh carbon filter in yesterday and managed to install it this afternoon. It was a little bit of a PITA doing it solo, since I’ve never set one up before. I wasn’t sure the vent holes in the tent were sized properly because the fit was so tight. In the end, though, I’m really impressed with this @Unit Farm tent! The vent holes are perfectly sized and it had no problem supporting that BIG filter and fan. Because I wanted a very quiet fan/filter setup, I went big. Much bigger than I needed for a 5x5 tent. It’s not a light fan or filter and the frame isn’t having any problems supporting it.

When I first turned the fan on, at 35% power, I thought my fan was faulty because it didn’t sound like it was even running! Lol! I cranked it up to 75% and it was still silent. The only noise at 75% was the whoosh of air sucking through the filter. I left it on 75% for a few hours and it scrubbed ALL the odor in the outer room; and there was a noticeable stank emanating into other parts of the building before I installed the system. :frog::jump:

I’m going to turn it all the way down now and see if it’ll still handle the odor even at its lowest power setting!

I’ve been terrible about updating this journal of mine. *slaps self repeatedly!* Well, here we go....

Been having some issues with my Blue Widow photo (New420Guy seeds) that has me baffled. Finally figured out that somehow I’d dropped the pH of the soil through the floor- runoff from 6.7 pH’d water gave me 5.5! Whoa! All I can think is that I absentmindedly double dosed her with pH Down. Anyway, I had a pH lockout of several nutes. To fix it, I flushed with several gallons of our well water at 7.2pH and Sledgehammer. Then started giving her Recharge along with some light nutes, cal-mag and Sea-90. I also gave her a foliar spray of 7.0 with 1tsp of epsom salt. She’s still growing and she’s slowly greening up. Here’s a before pic:

Here’s earlier today (61 days old):

And here she is after some defoliation andsome further LST to even up her canopy:

Here’s my Paul’s Headwreck photo at 62 days old. She is a seriously bushy, squat girl. No mater what I’ve tried, she just won’t stretch out. The internodes on her branches are stacked up tight. She’s as healthy as can be! If anyone can suggest how to get her to stretch out some, please let me know!

She was so dense I spent a bunch of time defoliating and lollipoping as best as I could. At least there’ll be better airflow now. I spread her out some more andvtried to even her up as best as I could. I think she’s looking pretty good!
