Did not see a review for this vaporizer so I thought I would post one.

My wife and I have been using this for about 4 months. It is our first vaporizer and we have been very happy with it.

Price: $120

Pros:
Portable, small and light weight using rechargeable battery. Auto shut-off after about 10 minutes. A charge will last for about three ten minute uses

Two temperature settings, heats up in less than 1 minute

Very easy to load and clean using the provided cartridges

A little herb goes a long way; the cartridges hold about 1/10th of a gram more than enough for the 2 of us.

The normal temperature setting produces very smooth vapor without any cough or irritation. My wife has asthma and it does not cause her any issues the way smoking did.

Recharges quickly and you can use it plugged in while it recharges.

Does not produce much odor so could be used discreetly.

Cons:
The end cap does not stay on very well. Since we use this at home it has not been an issue but if you wanted to carry it in your pocket it would probably come off.

Does not produce a lot of visible vapor if that is important to you

The high setting lets you squeeze every last bit out of your herb but is a lot harsher. The vapor on high is pretty warm, not to the point of burning your lips but you notice the heat.

The effect is not as quick as smoking so is a little harder to regulate dose.

Only works with dry herb

rechargeable battery is not replaceable.

Over all we have been very happy with our Pinnacle. The auto-shutoff is a great safety feature and cleaning the heat chamber and cartridge takes about 10 seconds with the provided brush. Loading the cartridges is also very simple.

You can get an optional water tube which is pretty expensive and we have not found any need for it.

We would definitely recommend this vaporizer

Salutations Oldster,

...cleaning the heat chamber and cartridge takes about 10 seconds with the provided brush.

It happens i've recently been trying to determine what's inbetween its air inlet openings (at the base of the oven) and the external holes on the casing, near that area:

Can you tell me please if that's one of those products where the owner is required to ventilate electronics through a cannabic bowl?... My Arizer V-Tower does exactly that so i'm unable to use it with peace in mind and hence it's going to end up as a potpourri warmer, exclusively - which is what it actually is by design...

My hope with the PnP would be that it's really "CLEANER" since i belive i've seen it on display in a local store last fall, so... Can you assist me relatively to air/vapor paths in this one?

:peace:

Ahhh Egzoset...
As far as i can tell those vent to the outside so that fresh air is drawn through.
I think the other forum we are on is a better one to ask thoise questions on.
This forum is mostly dedicated to growing not taking vapes apart to analyze the internals....

Congratulations on your purchase Oldtimer!!
I have had one of these for about 6 months now and it has never given me a single problem!
My wife loves this one over all my other vapes!
Easy to charge, use, load and clean!
Taste is pretty good for the materials used.
Did you get the basic version or did you also buy the water tool to use with it?
The glass can be quite fun to use with it and it cools the vapor down a bit. If you do have the glass try it with some hot water!

Hi Egzoset,

The heat chamber in my Pinnacle is similar to your photo. I shined a light into the chamber and can see it through the vent openings. The intake vents are located above and sealed from the electronics from what I can see. The area directly below the vents stays cool in use so I believe the electronics would not be subject to much heat.

Hope I understood your question correctly.

Hi Lazylathe,

We were on a budget so just got the basic model without the glass attachment. The glass looked awfully fragile and saw it as an accident waiting to happen. Hearing your positive feedback on it maybe I will reconsider. Thanks

Suprisingly enough it is actually quite thick, at least 5mm.
I love this vape for walks at night with our dogs, very stealthy.
It is the perfect size to slip in a pocket and not even notice it is there!

I bought mine second hand from a friend on another forum.
So it is about 1 year old and still going strong!
Charge still lasts the same so the battery is quite good.

Do you know they have a PRO version now?
There are 5 levels of heat that you can select instead of the two like we have.
More variety in temp gives you access to a wider range of boiling points for the chemicals, very handy for medical patients.

Yes, I have done some reading on the pro version. I think the glass would be a requirement to smooth things down with the higher temps it provides. Definitely on my wish list.

Salutations LazyLathe,
Salutations Oldster,

...the other forum...

Most unfortunately you happen to be refering to a board where some double-post infraction was forged by moderatorship, to justify a temporary ban after i was subjected to character assasination by a staff member - all this because of serious and legitimate questions this moderator simply couldn't handle suitably. Pardon me but this section on AFN is titled "Smoking Accessory Reviews" so i believe that's quite the right place for me to ask a Pinnalce owner about internal paths, on the contrary!... Not to mention i don't welcome interventions based on controversy imported from outside.

I shined a light into the chamber and can see it through the vent openings.

Thank you very much for your time & effort. Here's a view of what's inside, unless i'd be mistaking:

Actually i've also noticed there may be more venting holes near the power connector down below, at the bottom. My hope is that those are truly separate venting outlets for electronics, though i can't be certain; it all depends on the presence of proper sealing at the boundary marked by red arrows on this edited picture (page 106 of dedicated thread on said board).

If i'm correct to assume the manufacturer has been careful enough not to couple the paths through confinement then there's not much ground for such "fearmonger" worries of mine, while i can't but think there's plastic right below this oven (and it appears to be part of the fresh air inlet path!)... Alternately, if this isn't sealed where it counts most then i'm afraid that's not even a product i want to consider for my next purchase.

Consequently, my recommandation would be to avoid long sessions potentially leading to overheat issues, in any case. Also, you may be able to sort it all out simply by inhaling while obstructing the top inlet holes (with power off): if the paths make contact then some air will come through electronics venting instead...

Hope I understood your question correctly.

Well, i believe you gathered my intent just fine except perhaps when it comes to contaminant compounds generated by failing/defective electronics: this hardware may not have to be overheated in order to become a possible nuisance.

Anyway, thanks again!

I did try blocking the various vents and you are correct that there is a passage from the bottom vents to where the top vents are located. Given the fact that there are only 4 bottom vents vs. 6 top vents and the fact that the bottom vents are about 1/3 the size of the top vents I believe the amount of air you would get from them would be pretty minimal unless you blocked the upper vents. I can understand however that this could still be a concern to some.

Our vape sessions are pretty short; rarely to we encounter the 10 min auto shutoff and I have never noticed any warmth in the lower section of the unit.

If you run across something that has the portability and ease of use of the Pinnacle but with an isolated air flow from the electronics let me know.

Thanks

Egzoset,

What i was saying is that if you search here you will not find the depth of info you seek...
As opposed to what we find on the other forum.
I have no idea nor interest in what went on, i was not part of it...

You are one of the few people i know that take vapes apart to inspect airways etc, which of course if very important!
I was just saying that i did not think this was the correct place to ask, since this forum is mostly about growing.
Not sure if i have seen too many internal pics of vapes taken apart here except from you, that is all.

Anyway, i limit my exposure to the vape to one session per day sometimes less.
As a daily driver or only vape i would look elsewhere since it is not the most efficient vape out there.
