OK. Twice I've come across advice suggesting/recommending watering (in coco) with plain water every other time. One of the sites was growweedeasy.com. Day 27 of my grow I suffered a lite 'nute-burn'. Immediately raised the lamps and flushed with FloraKleen®. Mixed new nutes at a slightly lower EC. Yellowing continued slightly. Flushed the girl with plain PH'ed water. What can I expect? As this is my first grow, first nute-burn, how should I approach this age-old prollem? Currently at day 31 and have been noticing more yellowing leaf tips on new growth. Help? Thanx!

I need pics eggy.

I feed every watering. I would probably be at half the dose, the manufacturers recommend on nutes. E.c probably like 2.2-2.4 so ppm 1100-1200.

Feed twice daily like 1 liter. If no run off then up it just a bit to l ike 1.5 l twice a day.. Depends on how bigthe container is. 5gl is what I am using.

TooPoint,

A4 suggested mag deficiency. He may be correct as my nute schedule for week 4 cut the cal/mag in half. I just finished feeding at 775ppm with full cal/mag. I'm frightened to death to go over 1.3 EC as I feed daily and runoff over 50%. Will the yellowing tips gradually go away? Thanx!

Imo....that is too much run off. Want more like 10% if it was on the new growth then yeah I would go mag def too. My t.d just had the craziest yellowing for a long time. Then in bloom I had upped the mag and in 2 days all was good. Coco has issues with mag def. If it was good before you adjusted the mag then I would go back to heavier dose.

Is your cal and mag together or separate? I like mine as separate additives.

Plant looks healthy to me. Could be the hps. But nice fan leaves you have there.

2.0,
Appreciate you lookin in. Yes, condition only on new leaves. My mix of cal/mag is together. And, by the way, what is hps? Hopefully, 'Happy Plant Syndrome'!

DUH....
My lamps, of course! My original diagnosis was the HPS being too close for a short period of time. When I noted the yellowing, the very first thing I did was raise the lamps. Seems to be an isolated incident and no other leaves have been discovered to be affected. Thanx.

I'm having exact issues!! I'm under a 400w led is my only difference! Slight burnt tips ... I'm fe1422734959779.jpgeding at 550-600 ppm currently day 23 so I didn't think that would burn her so maybe I'm having mag deficiency also! 2.5ml per gallon of calimagic every feeding Wich is twice a day and also treated with 10 ml after I rinsed the coco! I'm also getting a runoff of 6.5-7.1 and feeding at 5.8 so I don't know if this is normal either (first coco grow) so hopefully u get sum good advice as I will be watching this thread for help also! Cheers, and good luck! 1422734911536.jpg

Topicdozen,
You have no idea how many different diagnosis I received for this oft occuring affliction. Found a pic somewhere that shows EXACTLY what I have experienced:

Yup, I had nute burn.

The tips are nute burn. In my experience. Or to say I have treated that way and it didn't get any worse.

Here is a pic of the t.d having yellow/mag def

That is under day light blend. Yes it really was even more yellow lite green in person.

Well from what I read hear I'll be doing a 5.8 flush with the last gallon going through with quarter strength nutes and 3 ml of cal/mag! Mainly just the new growth with slight burn!
