New Grower Plant Help and Rockwool question?

hopefully she will show signs of happy when light goes back on after having a sleep.

is 1L of water in 5L pots enough for 5 days?

When she's bigger she may be drinking one litre per day.
Depends on the sie of the plant and root system.

The best way for YOU to get a handle on it is by picking up the pots and watering only when light.

There isn't a set rule about how much water you give .

In my 11 litre pots i will be feeding 4 litres every 2 days in full flowering.
But that is becuase that's what my plants need.

Yours might only need one litre every 5 days - but i'd pick up your pot every day to make sure

Difficult under hps light. But judgiing what you've told me in your last 4 posts, i would say Yes ... you have probably over watered.

I think you have the info you need now - I'll come back and add some links to this post for you to read. It will probably really help you out.

The Life Cycle of Auto Flowering Canna by Muddy

Well - that's it for now. Ive got all sorts of guides, but none for watering.

Water thoroughly and slowly until you see run off. At this point the pot is saturated and you wont need to water again until the pot is light.

Run off means water coming out of the bottom of the pot. It will wash through any salt buildup and keep your soil (and root system clean)

Do NOT let your pots sit in the run off water (either remove the run off water - or put your pots on feet so that the pot can't soak it back up!)

Good luck - Keep reading and you'll be fine! :)

As a word of advice: My mentor is nothing BUT a user of rockwool, whether it be the 1.5" cubes or the mini-cubes, so naturally, that's what I use.. The GREATEST thing about rockwool: it's EXTREMELY hard to overwater.. You'd basically have to just leave it in a puddle and/or water it repeatedly throughout the day..

To give you an idea, my plants, once they are sprouted and I see leaves, they get watered everyday.. Rockwool is essentially a form of soil-less medium, so you should treat it similarly as hydro.. The beauty of rockwool is that unlike DWC, watering the rockwool itself aerates it, so you realistically don't need an airstone in a reservoir unless you're insisting on using sweet products like molasses or carbohydrate supplements for your plants.. I have only recently started adding small amounts of this to my res because regardless, you can still get funk brewing in your res ANY time you use something that can be used as food for anaerobic bacteria..

If you want to see how well rockwool works as a complete grow medium, you can check out my grow thread.. I'm not exactly a professional grower and I'd be lying if I said I have it figured out, but I can tell you that it's got the results of DWC, with a similar ease of use as soil.. Sure, you have to pay more attention to pH and EC/ppm, but if you have it dialed in, you literally have to do nothing except some LST, smoke a fatty and just be as patient as possible until your plant becomes mature!! Very over-simplified, but if you want some more info, let me know!!! :)

I planted these in rock wool late Monday night I can see one with leaves that I'll plant in soil later today.

Do u guys think the others look like they are on there way? .
