These four plants seem to have stalled out. 82 and 88 days. Not growing, don’t really seem to be adding bud mass. Decreased water uptake. Still mostly clear/cloudy. Maybe a smidge of amber on one, but that’s mostly on sugar leaves. I know some just go slower (the plants in the other side of the 4x8 are definitely behind these, but got a little light burn from growing too tall too fast!), but is there anything I’m missing that I should be doing? I read an old post by Muddy about going by leaf color and pistils since autos don’t always amber, but is this true for “modern” auto genetics? Don’t want to pull too early but don’t want them to rot in the tent, either! Thanks

You could try adding some carbohydrates AN Bud Candy or Recharge with a little extra molasses. They look nearly done if not done.

I did give recharge a few days ago; last molasses was ten days ago. Will re-dose the molasses.

Slightly related: the earlier plants that I harvested don’t seem very potent. They’re definitely harsh as they’ve barely begun cure (as expected) but just not very strong, even the mephisto strains. Is the relative weakness something that improves with cure as well? Thanks, MoG!

This is what trichomes look like today. My previous plants definitely had more amber, yet they seem to not be as potent as I expected, so I wondered if I harvested too early. With these plants not really amber, I’m trying to wait, but they LOOK like they’re about done when I look at the “whole plant” (to my VERY inexperienced eye).

Those appear to be within the harvest window I usually use for a day time jar......although some of us older stoners with more old age maladies may let a bud or two ( or all of it like me) really amber up for a major pain relief. Of course, that's all according to strain...

I’m retired with my share of old age maladies, so I’m definitely aiming for plenty of amber. I’m new to cannabis in general, though (I had a very boring youth), so the consumption is all new to me.

The Spectrum and Quality of the light they get in flower can make a big difference in THC/cannibinoid and Terpene content. You also had some nutrient issues that may also have been in play. I add supplemental UVA from the beginning of bloom and UVB the last two weeks or more of Bloom. It really improved my crops.

I’m running HLG 600 Rspec lights - I’ll look into what their UVA/UVB is. Definitely figured nute issues played a role - next grow going well so far and plants look great! (Knock on wood). Hopefully they’ll have more “kick”.

In my experience if they stop taking as much water and stop adding mass they may be done or getting close. I've also had the same issue on past plants because it turned its energy toward seed making but lets hope that's not the case. Pics seem like a mixture of cloud/clear with a few amber. I'd say give it a bit more time if you want plenty of amber. Good luck!
