Hey all!
Greetings from another graybeard FNG!
I'm 55, freshly divorced and semi-retired. After a 39 year love affair with Mary Jane the state of Massachusetts medicinal Marijuana program has taken our passion out of the closet, then right back in!
I am into self-sufficiency and DIY big time. I've got a garden that keeps getting bigger, a greenhouse built around the frame of an unwanted instant garage and a little village of coops waiting on laying hens, turkeys and broilers come spring. Last Summer I put up cases and cases of good food to last till things go green again (as well as 5 quarts and 1 pint of good green!).
I've grown both indoors and out for my head. A few years back I had a perpetual harvest going, but had to dismantle the closet grow due to paranoia over a sniveling little snitch of an ex-son in law.
I'm legal now and more than ready to cultivate Natures sacred balm for the human heart, body and soul with zero persecution.
After seeing autos being grown and sampling the product, I'm an old dog looking to learn some new tricks. I'm stoked to be able to try a Bazillion strains (now that I can actually buy seeds worry free) and eliminate all the time and energy that Moms & clones eat up. Variety is the spice of life!
I've ordered some auto seeds (Big Gun & NL) and a T5 4 rack to replace my old HPS. I'm rebuilding the space I had which is about 24"L x 16" W x 70" H. I have a squirrel cage exhaust above the space ready to re attach. I'm leaning toward 5 gal buckets of coir and a box set of nutes, which I have no experience with whatsoever. If I'm gonna try something new, why not really make it new? I'm thinking 2 buckets, start 1 then start the 2nd 1/2 way through. I'm gonna build a trolley for the light to move up and down and a moveable cf if needed for the noobie.
Looking forward to getting to know the inhabitants of this awesome community and the knowledge they spread!
