Found some cheap sphagnumpeat-based soil today so bought 3 x 13,2 gallon (3 x 50liter) and payed 16 usd.. Is this ok to start seeds in? Ph is 6 but as i use ph-perfect technology nutrients this does not matter.
Is it to high with N to start seeds in maybe? I dont know.. What u think guys? NPK is 11-5-18.

Seems a bit too hot from looking at it to start in, but I could be wrong. Just my opinion. If you have plenty of beans try one out and see, bud.

Im not sure but peat pucks are cheap enough so why mess about

Yes i guess its the only way to tell for sure..

That does sound like a lot N for seedlings. Maybe try one like squid said but I would probably start em in something else and transplant or tier at around 2 or 3 weeks. I bet it will grow some serious plants if it don't burn them. What is the name of the soil?

I do have alot of pucks also.

There ya go. Keep it simple. Start in the pucks and move on to that if you want and already bought it. I am thinking about starting in some Jiffy pucks too man. I never have for Canna, just veggies and herbs. I like the little humidity tray and dome though.

most strains bar a few fussy ones will transplant from a puck without issues into full strength compost

the above seems as high as some feeds but im not a compost expert
