I really thought I should share these pics with you guys, I been thinking about side lighting for a little bit now to try to get the most light covage as possible but really did not want to shell out extra money for lights, I have cfls but since I want to do only leds I do not use them plus my temps are almost perfect so I don't want to have to adjust to the heat. In these pics your going to see these little silver disks looks almost like mylar but whatever it is, its really refective! I got them from the aluminum baking tins I uses to catch drainage, they are the tops to the tins I guess its for if you want to bake with a lid on your food. But anyway I noticed that when placed in the right spots I get A LOT more light covage and more light to the side and lower braches. I'm trying to find a way to prefectly place these disks so my plant get the best light covage without any extra lighting. Look at the pics one is just a shot of them sitting at the bottem of the tent but the other two look at the difference in how much light is getting to the buds! All I did was position the disk in the right spot and now the bud is getting light it never could before! What do you guys think?
Awesome idea, Brother! "Bailers Booya"
Moveable reflectors, nice!!
You may want to keep an eye out for hot spots while you're getting it dialed in, and now I'll gonna have to keep an eye out for reflective tins!
i got them from the dollar store bro, 2 bucks for 8 tins and lids! im thinking of buying more ill try to up load a pic of what they look like coming from the store. ive thought about the hot spots and thinking if i can get them the right distance i can make it work
If they do start to cause burns, maybe a light scuff with fine steel wool would help to difuse it a bit.
I see no reason for this not to work.
I'll smack ya when I can!
I got them set up well half of them, I bought something called "gear ties" supports them great they look like heavy duty oversized twist ties I got 2 2ft and 2 1ft they are perfect size, I have one sticking out of the dirt over casting the main cola. I have it tied to a small bamboo stick to keep it steady the rest are attched to my white plant rack angled at the lower braches I will check in the morning see if I find any heat spots if so ill hit them with the steel wool she if that helps reeally excited to see how this works I will keep you guys updated.
Couple pics of the setup, its a work in progress but I think it could work good. I only did only the left side so I could show a difference in light coverage the candy kush looks a lot brighter than the wipeout ont the left. I plan on buying more materials and setting up the wipout to get better light coverage. Ill keep you guys posted on my progress couple pics.
