Actually its been very intimidating, have had a couple of friends that have actually given me misinformation about DWC and Hydro in general. I had been led to believe that it's super hard and not worth it. These are the same friends that say if you don't grow with Golden Tree and spending thousands and thousands on nutes etc. to not even bother growing in general, so I take their advice with a fistful of salt. But it's been a journey reading researching from my switch from outdoor to indoor and separating the facts from the bull. That chart was LITERALLY peace of mind for me! I feel better knowing that all f the fluctuations im seeing now are good! It's my first time dealing with PH, PPM's and EC and reading about it is intimidating. In practice.... not so much, it's been easy. Also this chart helped me understand everything Ive been reading. It's like it makes sense now. Now I feel I can even react to any changes faster and know what to do with more precision.

Anyways... TODAY THE BABIES ARE 2 WEEKS OLD OICIALLY!!! I cant wait:drool:

Enjoying every minute of it and about to get my first harvest (Grow in sig)

Sooo yesterday i went into my grow room and there was a burning smell. Turns out one of my fans died. I noticed that with one fan down temps go up to the 88-91 F throughout the hottest hours of the day. I ordered a new one and it should be here in a week. In the meantime i noticed a temporary solution that im not 100% sold on. Turn off bloom switches on both 600w and the temp stays at 80-86F during the hottest days. So should i leave them with just the veg light or would the benefits of less heat are not worth it? Tbh i havent noticed much of a difference at almost 3 weeks. But idk if should just let the bloom switches on and let them stress in higher until the new fan gets here or just run only veg lights for one week.

Boradan i got to take a look at your grow man and i gotta tell u it makes me hopeful. I think my two 600w are generic versions of your vipar lights, smilar design and wattage draw (mine are slightly less powerful at 528w together) so im hoping to get similar results. Very nice grow man!!!

I would leave the bloom light on. Its only a few degrees and it will only be until your new fan arrives.

Just make sure to spread your colas out well if you are LST/SCROGging. I noticed that the vipar didn't really penetrate that well - although that may have just been some mistake on my part regarding my own LST.

Day 23

Still barely 3 inches started some lst cuz though they short, THEYRE REALLY BUSHY. Starting to grow their seventh nodes. Little bit of heat stress and tiny bit of nute burn but it hasnt stopped any growth really. Doing some light LST, made some more reflectors. Lights are at 20" distance.

Even if they turn out all males at least this proves I can grow something here. That said with no AC for the time being in the summer i know its gonna reach 92F easy. That has me considering future strains and auto vs photo. But my top 3 priorities are,
Something for depression (my gf)
Something for anxiety/insomnia (me lol)
Something for pain (my mom has fybromalgia)

Last something purple because i wanna grow something purple lol. (Not a priority lmao). But given high temps up to 92F im thinking silica supplements and kelp extracts. Though rez temps no matter how hot it gets stays at a cooler 77f. Humidity is a non issue never going above 65% even without a dehumidifier. Any strain reccomendations you guys might have?

Thx. I'll be keeping my eye on this. Even more so cuz mine are slightly less powerful than yours. This was something that was worrying in the beggining and i was thinking of buying some LED grow light strips on ebay as supplemental light but ultimately decided it was better to go with homemade reflectors.

Day 28 Update:

Rez Change
Rez Temps @25 C

Added a random bagseed 2 weeks ago also officially on day 14. It's definitely a different strain from the other three but it's catching up to the 4 week olds to the point im guessing it will surpass them in height within the next couple of days though it's not close to being as bushy as the others. While the others are bushy and growing steady they dont seem to like stretching upwards much. 4 week plants at 1.3 EC the younger plant I just upped it to 1.1 EC for week 2. I'm guessing the 4 week olds are just a short bushy mystery strain already at 11 nodes. Here's some 24 hour before and after pics.
