How much difference does pot size make? Just gone from using 6.5l to 9litre pots.

in my opinion......if your at optimum condition's then the bigger the pot the better the growth, the less resistance the root system encouner's the larger it get's, hence the larger the vegitation....

Gone for less plants bigger pots so hope I'm gonna see a difference. I'm abit annoyed I don't seem to be beating my record of 10oz with a 600w

Generally bigger pot bigger plant all things equal.
I read somewhere 3gal. was best for autos. I wish they would have mentioned unless you only have a 4 ft ceiling. :o

:peace:

I swear have used the 3 gal, 2gal, and 1 gal airpot... I personally prefer the 1gal, I got two ladies of same strain one in a 3G and the other in the 1G, I see almost no difference in size of plants. Though generally the rule does apply bigger pot, bigger plant, I just have a hard time
Managing the larger pots and correcting mistakes....wishing you that 10oz harvest again Ninja!

Pots size and growing.

Is bigger better? Well that depends on strain and what you are trying to accomplish. Some smaller strains will look the same in a 1 gallon pot or a 5 gallon pot. Bigger strains do better in larger pots if you are going for max yield and have lots of space. You can use smaller pots to grow larger strains if you have limited space. This one of the things I do to control plants from getting too big for my box. This doesnt always work as some times you will get one that just wants to be big all on its own.

I wanna beat the 10oz mark hoping my 5 critical jack give me 2 each I've got em in bigger pots than when I pulled just over 3 of one and bigger pots. My red poison I'd love too pull a oz per plant I'm just gonna be so happy when I see purple bud lol

Im mostly an outdoor grower. But all that I've read seems to suggest that(Depending on the strain too) the more room you have for your roots and the taproot means the larger it grows.Ive omly grown a few Autos in my day.The tap root is mostly the key.Now Blueberries for example hate root restriction and are nute sensitive for example.Im of the school of thought 5gal. is best thats tall.Me too brother.I'm growing several Super Autos this season and Im hoping to accompllishh the same thing.1/2 pound times 4 LOL! lemme know what you find out brother.be well and happy growing as well :wiz:

"the more room you have for your roots and the taproot means the larger it grows"

Yeah exactly my line of thought aswell. :check:

Bigger the roots the bigger the fruit is generally the rule in horticulture.
Taproot depth is critical for outdoor grows in hot dry areas.

Also Check out root pruning pots and Humic/fulvic acid......

Good luck grower!
