Hello, i want to grow 2 big autoflowers, 1 Think Different and 1 Magnum with organic soil mix of mine. I was wondering what pot size i should use. Each of them will be under 1x600w HPS. So that means 2x600w HPS for 2 plants.

Should i go with the 7 gallon smartpot or 5 gallon smartpots for each of them? I've got some 5 gals ready, just wondering if 7 would be better. Thank you.

Thanks a lot for your answer my friend! That suits me better, less money to spend :P. I thought about 7 because each of them will be under 1 600w. I have checked your grow in joe's blog at the website of Dutch Passion. I don't remember your method, if you used 3 gal airpots to get those killer results, i am sure i would be fine with 5 gallons! Have you ever grown with organic soil mix? I was thinking blumats+true living organic soil would be a good combination. Have some second thoughts on coco too. With coco, i am sure i would not need more than 5 gals. With organic soil i thought 7 gals would be better but since you say its overkill, i am thinking of following your advice. :)

5 gallon is enough for autos but photos depends on the veg time.

I'd always go as big as your setup allows, but if the money thing is an issue, 5 is suitable for large plants.
