Pot size

I will keep the seedlings indoor or in the balcony during the vegetative stage but as soon as I can see their gender I will kill the males(except one lucky guy!) and plant the girls outside.
But I have limited space indoor and at the balcony so I don't want to use a bigger pot than necessary, so how big pot size is required big enough to avoid the growth to be interrupted until I can see their gender?

3 gallon for autos . Advisable to plant in the final container.

I use 5gallon smart pots, I like them more cuz I'm a lazy grower and sometimes I don't have time to water every day.

Im trying to decide between 3 gallon and 5 gallon smart pots for my auto's. Would the size affect the yield? Ive read too many reviews and can't decide for myself. Some say to use a 3 gallon for bigger yields, others say a bigger pot.

I would say go with 5 gallon more roots more fruits haha . 3 gallon for the smaller auto strains .
