Old Reviews Potassium - Silicate .

Yeah you're right. I think I just go the usual proven route of Potassium Silicate. My curiosity has gotten better of me though, I have to check that stuff out on one plant.

It is now about 3 weeks of me trying out A / B comparison with two Ultimates sharing same space, same light and same feed with just the difference of other one being fed Potassium Silicate (5ml per 7 litres) and other one being fed Silicon Dioxide (one 4th of teaspoon per 7 litres) and I haven't really seen too much of difference in their development.

Both girls seem to like their feeds and have grown pretty strong and thick stalks. No adverse effects noted. I kind of like the Potassium Silicate better since it can act also as a pH buffer but I would imagine that silicon dioxide has its place in feeds if you don't want to play too much with the pH.
