Hey guys, need a little help here. I've been growing for a bit, and haven't had the problem that I've ran into. Germinating a Gold Glue and Crème Bubbly, everything's going great. First time using 3g airpots for this grow, and the medium is the same coco I've always used, except I'm doing GBD's super soil. Watering they were just getting plain water. I have a Bubbly Livers and a Sour Alien Livers in the same setup that just popped yesterday, hoping to fix whatever I'm doing wrong.

I know the genetics aren't the problem, but I can't figure out why they're dying within two weeks of popping. I've gone thru three of GG and Crème Bubbly each, attempting to get them going. Pictures below so y'all can see. My setup is ViperSpectre LED, and two 150w HPS. I'm wondering if the lights are too close to the air pots, as they're higher raised off the ground than the pots I'd been using before.

Lemme know what you guys think!

First off before anything else, what's the height you have the lights at above Soil?

My first thought is the combination of lights your using & the height you have above the soil. HPS, while effective grow lights, create a lot of internal heat in the grow tent, which can effect many things.
Pair that heat with Viperspectre LEDS & you may just have too intense a combo for the little ladies to handle.

2nd thing that comes to mind: what kind of ventilation system do you have setup? Do you have an intake cooling fan or an exhaust fan to move hot air out? If the heat isn't being expelled & it's becoming too much inside, the ladies could be basically dying from plant heat stroke.

3rd - what kind of watering cycle?

Did you do a 3 tiered medium? Looks kinda like nutes may be too hot. Idk.

My thoughts were they look burnt through nutes just looking at the pics...

Well, since I haven't been through nute burn, it's easy for me to miss. Both my ladies, which are both illuminautos, seemed to have been more sensitive to light burn all around compared to my previous grow. After I made the adjustment in height, the ladies stabilized & are flourishing.

My setup is also similar to yours - except I'm in 5g airports, using a premix Coco/bionute blend called Moonshine Mix.

Well I thought that too, but I'm using the supersoil mix in coco, I'd be surprised if it had nute burn from that (unless that's a complete possibility). I just didn't think the roots had gone down far enough to reach the nutes yet but unfortunately I don't know enough about these lovely ladies to accurately say that.

I did do a three layer, with the bottom later having 2 tablespoons of super soil, middle layer 1, top layer just coco

I'll measure when I'm home - last I checked, I believe about 34 inches from soil to light. Water cycle is every other day unless it's really dry. Temperature isn't an issue - closet doesn't get above 82 degrees. Has been humid, which is making humidity inside go up to around 45%.

Thanks guys for all the feedback!

Unless temps are crazy and the light super intense , I wouldn't think that would fry them, just my 2p

Good luck resolving it though

Thank you m8! Yeah temperature range is 68 at night, low 80s during the day, 78 at night before the lights go out. Maybe it's being in coco, I should've given a small dose of calmag when they pop to have that nutrient available to them?

The 2nd pic definitely looks like nute burn to me.and if it's the only thing you've changed,it's gotta be the soil, did you mix it with coco,or layer it under the coco? The plants don't look that old,but there's a chance the roots are in amongst the nutes,as soon as seedlings are up,they start sending roots straight down to the bottom of the pot.
I'd try some more seeds, but just in coco, see if that helps??
Hope you sort it out man :pass:
