I joined AFN a few days ago after visiting the site regularly since February when I came by some 3 Autofem seeds (purple buddha kush). I sowed all 3 seeds 26th March and they all germinated and all seemed grand. Unfortunately 3 weeks ago a sudden cold snap killed two of the seedlings ( I can only grow outdoors) the one that survived seemed to go into self protection mode ( as in it did nothing at all during the bad weather) it now seems to have recovered somewhat but it's quite small considering when it was sown. I attach a photo. I can see signs of flowering starting but really need the plant to stretch a bit more and quickly. I am using bio bizz starter pack (grow, bloom, max) from today.

I also started off three Blue AutoMazar seeds in kitchen paper 3 nights ago. They have all cracked open and I have popped them into seed compost mixed with perlite. I have placed all 3 seeds in 6x6cm biodegradable paper cells, popped the cells into a propagator and put the propagator into my little PVC greenhouse. They will all go into the ground once they are robust enough.

i am hoping I will get help and advice from your community and have some fun growing my own weed. I am an experienced gardener with green thumbs, but this is slightly more complicated than Habaneros and tomatoes.

i live in a hot as hell in summer island in Southern Europe.

i attach a photo of my purple buddha kush as it was 7 days ago (healthy but stunted) and a photo taken this afternoon after I planted her into the ground (can you find my PBK in there? ) I know everyone says autos don't take well to transplanting, but as a seasoned flower, herb, fruit and vegetable gardener, I know that nature always catches up where other plants are concerned so why not with good old MJ.

So please help a first timer if you have any advice.

Also, does anyone know whether adding expanded clay balls and bark as mulch will be beneficial or not? It will get pretty hot over the next couple of weeks - 21C to 28c.

You can put mulch around them to keep moisture in and also keep roots cooler She will be ok once roots take hold and she gets used to being outside.

Thank you namvet. She has been outside for the last 3 or so weeks but she was on the roof. Shall I use the clay or the bark or both?

Hello everybody. I attach 3 photos of my purple buddha kush which I put in the ground last Friday. She seems unbothered by the change of circumstances. The nute burns were already showing when I decided to put her in the ground and since she went in with the soil in the pot, I expected things to worsen slightly until the roots take over and spread into the surrounding soil.

After seeing kyliekays awesome PBK specimen yesterday the size of mine is just depressing. I can see the purple preflower, but I am talking to her and willing her to stretch a bit. For now I think I will leave off any nutes until the plant gives me an indication of what she wants. Watered her in well on Friday, but have not watered since.

More depressing news, my Blue AutoMazar seeds are yet to pop through the soil, I suppose I am anxious because the 3 purple buddha kush seeds took 4 days to sprout and I put them straight into seedling soil - no pre soaking or anything.

Any comments, advice and or general mockery re all the aforementioned would be appreciated.

Blue AutoMazar seeds - 7 days on no signs of life

It's a week today since I started my BAM seeds off. 3 days in paper towels then they cracked - and I popped them in seed compost 5 days ago, but no sign of life. Shall I wait and see or are they dead?

Have patience my friend. Give it a few more days.

Ok, will do, thanks for the reply. I have waited patiently (sometimes 16 days) for habanero seeds to germinate, but most posters here report such quick germination times with their canna seeds so I got worried.

Can take anywhere up to 2 weeks to germ in tissue, not sure about popping above soil. Personally id just give it a little while longer :) if not just try and dig for the little seedling u may of planted her too deep.

too early bro.i put my seeds in water this week.the autos must be grow when you the weather is stable and the sun is potent, imho
