Live Stoner Chat Purple Stems

Hi everyone!

A quick question if anyone would please inform me: I have 4 plants in preflower and they all exhibit purple stems but the purple is only the top half of the stem, the side that gets direct light. The plants are healthy and probably a little too dark green but aren’t showing any sign of problem but I’m curious about the purple as I keep hearing it’s potentially a Phosphorous deficiency. Is it normal or is there an issue?

She looks fine.. purple stems can occasionally be sign of a deficiency, but also in certain strains just pops up without cause for concern. They look like there getting everything they need in abundance. Well done

Thank you for the reply. I think they might actually be close to Nitrogen toxicity. I’m using AN Sensi grow and bloom which has a fair amount of nitrogen but I supplement Calmag every feed using AN Calmag Extra. It also has nitrogen in it so I think I’m going to find some Calmag that doesn’t have nitrogen.

Honestly mate they look good if it’s not broke don’t fix it.: yeah the N is on the stronger side but your fine. Tangs plants used to have that heavy green and he grew monsters

If you get the claw on your leaves or your stems seem weak then pull back otherwise keep doing what your doing, have you got a journal I’m down to follow

Thanks @Hanzo-hattori , I actually stumbled on one of Tang’s grows while researching growing cannabis. It led me to this site and I’ve learned a ton of info from here. I would happily link my grow journal here for you to follow but from my phone I can’t manage to figure that out. So, I’ll tag you from the journal and it should Alert you to it.
