If I am just giving the plants plain water for the last 10 days, is it necessary to control the ph?
They're not supposed to be taking in any nutes, so what does it matter if the ph is off a bit?
Is it ok to do the flush with my tap water that is about 7.4 ph on its own or should I use ph down to get it to 6.5 or so?

You don't need do pH the water for the final flush. You are just using water to clear nutes leftovers

But, does the plant need water in the proper pH range in order to process the nutrients it has already taken in?

No. It needs a good pH range to uptake the nutrients you feed it. After you flush there is nothing in the soil to uptake but water so the plant will use it to eliminate all nuts she has in.

IMO, flushing is a complete waste of time. Science shows all your doing is depleting the sugars and starving your plants, right when they are trying to put on a final growth spurt. you are removing NOTHING else from the plant. Curing is what is used to remove sugars and degrade chlorophyl in the buds. Grow them till your ready to chop!
Magnesium will NOT make your weed "spark". try lighting100 ppms of mag on fire....... that would be like trying to set a pimple on a fleas ass on fire.... Black ash is from high sugar content, not NPK. Its all a garden myth and anecdotal stories do not trump science!

On second more careful reading, caveat emptor, it DOES indeed seem at the moment like Trump trumps science and common sense........

I would recommend always keeping the pH correct even during a flush.

I will say though that 7.4 tap is probably not going to hurt for 10 days.
