I myself am reusing coco coir from my last grow, but before I was willing to try any beans in it I thoroughly flushed it with ph5.8 water and flushed about 60litres through each of the 7x 20lt pots.
Iv read that flushing about 3x the volume of ur containers with adjusted water is good or until ur getting an ec of 0.5 run off.
This is what I did and touchin wood, everythings looking sssshhhwwweeeeeeeet.
About the cal/mg issues, I had the problem with the last run of Barneys p chunk, I now believe that this was because the new, inert, bagged coco absorbs the calcium and magnesium thus depriving the plants from utilising it theirselves!!! However 2nd time round the cocos cell stores are saturated already from last time so hopefully, this time everything has been buffered. It killed me on my last grow of the P-Chunk, well that issue combined with heat stress from a hot summer didnt bode at all well in terms of yield and flavour of the bud, for pchunk it was shockingly disappointing, GUTTED !
I am not making any stupid amateurish mistakes on my new development, Dutch Passions, amazing, THINK DI
Anyway jayar, I hope any of this helps u in any way in achieving ur medical high grade bouquet !
I forgot to mention the DWC, LSD, detailed description in new growers forum.
And the two meters, ph/temp meter and electrical conductivity/ec meter. These are as important as light, feeds, co2 etc and without these ul struggle to get optimal results.
