I might be wrong but that doesn't seem logical, because you do that to clones to give them water through leaves because they have no roots, new seedlings have roots but no mechanism to absorb water through leaves yet... my advice would be to leave them alone-if they sprouted in your current environment then they like it-be patient unless there is an actual problemThey need to be covered to keep the moisture in. Cut off bottoms or tops of coke bottles work well. I would keep in the dark and mist twice a day until standing up right. They don't look deep enough to me though.

It looks to me like the root was exposed, if that dries, it's dead. i would say you're right if that's the case, i didn't notice that myself and its just my 2 cents as a novice, no offence intended, just trying to pass on the little knowledge i have is allIt looks to me like the root was exposed, if that dries, it's dead.
