Grow Mediums Quick question on top feeding

That’s sounds great. Have you tried any other brands of nutes or super mixes ... too give a comparison.

Becuse I see bio tabs as a very good product indeed, I might try there bio tabs alongside an emended soil... and drop all there feeds by half. And see what magic I create... :yoinks:

Just curious.... they always advise too place bio tabs in the corners of the pots, I wonder how thease tabs break down and pass down too the roots without any water. maybe it’s the humidity ?. But that raises the question of simply top dressing with dry ferts and covering it with soil, will questionably be the same method.... Probably using dry ferts that ain’t compressed as a bio tabs would give a better chance.

:coffee2:
I think the problem you would have with top dressing is that it would not be released slowly over time. The BioTabs break down in the autopots because the water wicks almost all the way to the top of your growing medium and they are stuck 10cm/4” under the top. They then slowly breakdown over time and I know some growers add an extra tab at the beginning of flower. Never seen the instructions for sticking them in the corners, although it would make sense. Looking at my older instructions it only mentions the depth of placement, not the location.

The organic palm ash and guanakolong products, that I’m looking at are proper slow release organics. They come in powder form... maybe I could make my own tablet form out of them. Wet them, mild them in balls and slowly push them down with a pencil...

But I like the idea mentioned on top... simply juts disconnecting the sytem..

I’m only going too top dress once just at day 45 too give olantsbthe certain push.
