i collected some rainwater this week and I went to go pH test it with my Apera PH20 meter and got some confusing results! The meter said it’s 9.1! I went and texted the meter on some 4.0 test solution and it’s accurate. Then I did the old-school vial and solution drop test and I got about 6.7, based on the color. So, I’m not sure what to do here. I don’t think it’s possible for the solution drop test could be that far off; and when I spoke to Apera Instruments once before (about testing distilled water) they said the meter can get thrown off if there aren’t enough ions in the water. So, I’m wondering if that’s the problem here. Which results should I trust?
