hey again, all :smoking: my oldest looks about ready for the chop here in a few days or so. She's my first solid plant since I started growing again. I'm seeing a small number of amber thrichromes, but not too terribly much. Here's what she looks like. Photos are the main cola, and one of the underside of a side cola. The undersides of the 8 colas still have clearish trichromes, but the top sides are turning milky with some amber. I'm aiming for more of a cbd anxiety killer than uplifting and cerebral high. This girl has been through some deficiency problems, but has finished very strongly. Thanks a bunch for looking. I can post more if needed. I hope to help others after another grow or two!

Looks very yellow, but that might be your light. Looks good. Are the trichomes cloudy? If so she might be ready

Thanks a million! :worship:

Most of the trichromes on the top 1/2s of the colas are cloudy, some sugar leaves showing 20% amber, but not many. The rest where the light hasn't fully penetrated are clear. The yellowing is from fixing an old phosphorus deficiency and from aging, I can only presume. She took a hell of a hit from a phosphorus/calmag deficiency but rebounded quite well.

Shots from outside the tent in normal light. This is how I should post pics lol

Some do a partial harvest. Take that top kola down and lower the lights for the rest to mature. Just a thought. :weed:

I've researched partial harvesting....might be the best thing for me atm

This right here ! Partial harvest is all I am doing now. From the top down, getting the buds that look ready while leaving the rest to catch up. Makes a big difference in my opinion and take the edge off when trying to sample and chop you plant. Once you have a few buds off its much easier to let her take her time.

I had to do this with two large autos growing outside today. It's been hot, humid and rainy where I live with several days of no sun. My plants needed about a week to go but I found bud rot in two buds on one plant. I cut all the big buds off both plants, trimmed them up and did a wash with lemon juice and baking soda. Usually wash everything I grow with H202 but couldn't find any in two towns I went to. Shelves were empty.

I left all the smaller lower buds on the plants. I had 50% of pistils brown and looking through a pocket microscope the trichomes in the buds appeared pretty much cloudy with only a couple ambers that I could see. I'd usually let the plant go a week or two more but with bud rot starting this early I had to cut my loses. I'll likely use for edibles as I have enough vacuum packed and frozen from last year to last for years.

Never had issues with bud rot this early, didn't happen last year until end of September. Someone recommended potassium bicarbonate mixed with water and sprayed to stop and prevent bud rot but it seemed to burn leaves when I tried it.

Very solid, man. I've been seeing a decent amount of amber on the tops, so I think in 4ish days I'm gonna chop the top colas down. Respect to y'all for helping me :headbang: :bighug:

What mix do you use for the water n h2o2. The smoke n ash has been bad here in norcal, need to clean these buds off before drying.
