This Ripley OG broke ground on 1/12 so it at day 24. Am I good to top or wait for another node to develop?

I've never topped before so I'm a bit nervous.

dude I top them now, I leave the 3rd node as the top......leave a bit of stalk too if you plan to mainline :smiley1:

Personally, I wouldn’t top that plant. It’s a bit behind for day 24. The juice may not be worth the squeeze. Some light LST wouldn’t hurt.

Gotta be super quick topping Mephistos. I was a day late in some places and they are not growing a top back. Luckily this is only on a few side shoots and not any main tops, but once they start throwing those pre pistils, those little white hairs that first start shooting out, I don’t do any more high stress training aside from minor defoliation.

Edit I want to add that I’m not an expert by any means. Just sharing the knowledge I’ve gained through trial and error and sharing the info as I find it out for myself. I could simply be doing the topping wrong, but it seems that if you top too late nothing grows back in its place.

Anything I can do to help since it's a bit behind? I'm not feeding nuts yet but will start soon. Plant is in 3 gallon fabric pot with nectar for the gods soil and under a 55w autocob in a 2x4 with 2 other plants.

I wouldn’t top her. She’s leaning to the slower side on growth and topping may compound it. I’d maybe start some light LST or just let her go natural.
Your inputs seem good, although Ive never used that soil, I’ve heard good things. How are your temps and Rh? Any sign of gnats?
