....Hmm,...LOL! early, iffy diagnosis? ...

That's what I'm thinking... It's a new medium. Everything else is the same. The lighting could be doing it and don't forget a new camera with a more "natural lighting" ability... Next update I'll use the old camera and we'll see if there's a huge difference.

This is what I plan to do... let them dry out as they are still wet. Yes... nearly 48 hrs later and the Coco is still wet. I may have been over watering. As I'm used to Promix BX, having to water seedlings everyday until first feeding. This is not like that. Like I said it's more like Fox Farms Happy Frog (as far as retaining water). Once they are dried out...if they are getting worse I'll hit em with feed again. I'm thinking I was doing the #1 Newbie Grower mistake (overwatering) and I SHOULD have trusted my gut and set up and knew I wouldn't have to water everyday. There is also a fine possibility that a small feed before planting would have been a better option than not. But, we grow and we learn. I still think I overwatered a tad... Trust your inner Rebel!! Because in Rebel's world... there is no "standard". LOL It's knowing my conditions, setup, and style and let's not forget the research! Eventhough research says "water everyday" I know I don't have too and it would negatively affect my grow... :smokebuds:

Coco roots balls are amazing ...
I tore apart a tipsy turvy mater with straight Coco
Wasn't good enuff in the Hott Sun...

--Yeah, I get what you mean, literally! I'm using HF for starter soil now; I like it so far, and definitely holds water better than the Root org. surrounding it! Pure coco has a strange texture, huh! kinda spongy, springy-fluffy, yet holds water very well....This nice water capacity is why we mix it in certain medias for orchids, that and it also clings well to other components in the mix, and the orchids' roots themselves! I'm lazy, Rev', but curious!- can you tell me what the angle is on using pure coco?... I do understand how hard it is to change discipline when dealing with a new medium,... I have 5 distinct mixes for my orchids at home alone, and we use several other 'custom blends', as my old mentor/boss calls them, at the nursery! All tuned to varying degrees of drainage, openness, water retention, acidity, etc... Fortunately, most are quite flexible with fert's/nute's, and the majority can all get slopped with the same stuff! :smoke: Oh, if only it were that easy for our auto-girls!! *** When you post some new pics up with the old camera, we'll see if this color is an artifact of the lighting... :scope:

Well, looks like I was totally misinformed!! LMAO! Yeah that's nuts... This Coco is crazy dense and the 69% Dew Point isn't helping... they are still moist. Now I'm thinking AirPots WOULD be better with THIS type of Coco in this type of Heat and Humidity... I have two fans right up on them and they are still slowly slowly drying out... It's been 3 days since I fed them and they are still pretty moist just under the topsoil so saying this stuff retains water is an understatement at the moment...

I'm using Quantum Badboy T5HOs in the Bloom spectrum. The frequency escapes me at the moment... (3000K maybe...) the HPS equivalent. After today's assessment I believe I am correct. Over watering. Now, I'm gonna segway your two questions here because that was the angle in using pure Coco.... So I didn't have to water everyday... Now when I was using Promix BX I had to water seedlings everyday lightly until the first feeding. I know they just need to dry out because they are growing but slowly... much slower than I'm used to and it's a bit of a learning curve but nothing I can't handle. At least with the Photos I can veg em longer if need be... I'm sure it won't affect the Autos too much. They just need to dry out. If I have to I will get a dehumidifier but I may have to consider AirPots or the equivalent for next grow if I stay with Coco... we'll see how it goes.

That Fine coco is better during budding ...and ur smoke will be alot friggen cleaner ma friend ...

I did solid coco and aperlute on Cream Caramel
I hard a hard time feeding it being a noob with it ..
It seems its awesome when u can care for ur ladies like a regular job ...

I forget, where you live, summers can be just a skoesh hot and steamy!...*** BTW Rvrnd., how long do you take for initial drying?...I try to shoot for about a week, @ about 55% H/68-72 F, weather permitting,...You're a far more practiced hand at this! :brow: Oh, can I nudge you again for some TS nug-porn, if you would be so kind? :smoke: I've not seen yet how she turned out... *** Please ask Lady Reb if Sister H. Thanks Sniper! yeah, if I had any idea of the explosion of orange peel extract applications, I'd have bought an OJ factory years ago,...LOL! It's even being used to kill termites in home/businesses! It's used all over the place as a powerful degreaser/solvent (primarily limonene), I'm sure you've seen,... It is hell on vermin, but sometimes oil based products are not very nice to some types of plants either- just ask the Rev.' here about that flaming spice-oil shit he tried last grow!! :hot:*shudder* You saw what happened too, right? whoa! I haven't seen plants react that severely to such a product before.. .Like the bugs, some plants just don't have a tough enough cuticle- a waxy layer w/ thicker cell walls- to tolerate the chemical abuse... and this shit is the raw product!....'Mmmm, nope... no sir, I don't like it' - LOL!! -( Mr. Horse, from Ren & Stimpy).....For us growers, frankly I don't know, nor have looked into orange oils' use on MJ... certainly somebody has tried here at some point,...Time to try the adv. search engine here and see!.. As for my choice, and a few others here I follow as well, is Spinosad, a pest-specific neurotoxin made from a bacterium; google it, very interesting stuff... and the results are most gratifying! :twist:

This cannabis coco is way too dense alone. In hindsight I should have mixed in perilite. At this point I'm not sure if I'm staying with coco... I'm not happy at all ATM. My last grow I had pistils popping at 11 days.
