Hey all this is my first straight auto grow. So far everything been ok. 5 red poision. Ebb and flow system. Flora series gh with some fox farm bloom, flora nectar, florilicious, and calmag. Pretty simple. Ph hangs around 5.7-5.9 ppm been running first 30 days about 400ish for veg under 600w mh. everything has been great...Went to bloom changed bulb to hps and went to only micro and bloom nutes. Ppm 500-600.then... This showed up. I did a res flush/ changed cal mag to 100-125 and then added micro and bloom accordingly per bottle at 1/4-1/2 strengths. what does this look like? Feed is every 4-6 hrs and lights are 8 inches or less away, super cooled hood so I know heat not the prob. Humidity 40% or lower. Temps 65-75. I loved my new auto grow untill this point we live and learn and fix..... Any help would be appriciated. give thanks!

Too much mg? Lock out mn. I have encountered problems with photos before and fixed with a flush and they were fine. This gal doesnt want to straighten up, shes the darkest girl of the bunch. Any fixers? Ive read through enough of my books and did a few searching googles, and im thinking maybe cal mag def? Cause it started mid to top with small necro spots. Ppm from tap was 40. I usuall add call mag till my ppm is 100-150 but do autos need more than photos?

That looks more like a phosphorus deficiency to me. I can't tell from the pics but are the leaf stems red? I've never run and ebb and flow system but feeding ever 4-6 hours doesn't sound like enough. Also, how old are they?

On that pic they are 35 days from seed and about 30-36inches. I ran 6-800 ppm of micro and bloom and it started soon after I went to bloom. The spots on the leaves are the only spots affected. Everything else looks fine. Thank you for your response. Im going to my grow today and id like to have a remedy. I was easing into bloomfrom veg very slowly and they absolutely loved me with growth. Just odd.

When you feed, how long do you feed for? Seems most running ebb and flow recommend feeding every 4 hours for 15 minutes. Also, you state your temps are between 65 - 75. Is that the room temp or the temp of your res?

Res temps avg 60-62
Tent temp 73-76
Room temps 70-72
Tent humidity 30-45%
Room humidity 25-40%
Im using a titan controls oceanus brain to feed every 4 hrs. Using sun leaves hydro rocks .5-1.5 in diameter.
I have a nutridip tri meter for testing ec-ppm ph and temp. Guys at store cal it for me every so often. Trying to think of anything else might help... Thanks

And I only feed for 15 min. The timer on the feed brain is 15 min intervals. Im Using 6 pieces of the flo n gro system.

I have 3 4x4s and a rather large order from sweet seeds on its way and im Trying to do 16 dark devils 16 red poision and 16 big devil #2. Each with 1000w on them. The explosive growth and awesome uniformity of the phenos I got from my 5 pack of red poison made me decide with sweet seeds. I know this is more than likely my error. I have books and books plus read quite a bit. Im trying to understand what got me this way this qick. One of the darker ones is the worst, next to the 2nd darkest one. Not sure if that has something to do with it or not. ;)

Your res temp is too low and it looks like it's causing a phosphorus lockout. Raise your temp to around 67 or 68 and you should be fine. I would also suggest you raise the temp in the tent a bit, up to about 80.

Ok. Do you think I should pull the baskets and flush w water? I have 4 big airstones in the res could that be keeping the water too cool so to speak? Remove some stones or that wouldnt matter? Air difussion is cooled in water so im thinking that would help? Thanks for your input on my ladies. Ill adj and post for anyones future reference:)

No, you just need to raise the temperature of your res. At those low temps the roots are unable to uptake the P. The purplish color of your new growth is a good indicator that P is being locked out from low temps.

My mistake. Medicated this morning. Res temps are 68-70 most times.

I got the numbers wrong. The res is about room temp or cooler. Maybe when we did a change they got a feed shortly after and the water was cold? Its gotten progressively worse over a few days now so idk. :/
