I was wondering if having the bloom light off was any benefit for autoflower plants? Also I have a mars 300 they get to hot together but should I switch to the 300 to flower for the extra watts or is the 48 a better system to use all the way through in my 2x2?

Hi TreyDogg,

It will be better to turn both bloom and veg switches on during flwoering period. Also, it is correct, it will be a little over power if you use both mars 300 and the 48 together, please make sure to have enough fan to keep the temprature down.

best regards,

Tina

Good advice fan blowing on the girls if your leaves and shivering and shimmering from some wind get a fan preferably an oscillating fan and get those babies dancing your environment is key you can have the best soil the best nutrients and the most expensive lights in the world if you don't have your environment right you're going to get nothing tents need to be between 70 and 85 degrees you should take a heat gun and your buds the top of your canopy should run 79 to 85 degrees no higher I stay between 80 and 83 degrees at the top of my canopy

And I'm going to say the reflector series life is better than that 300 I have a Mars 144 by 5 reflector series and I can flower 2 foot by 3 1/2 foot area no problem I don't know what the coverage is on the 48 reflector series

It says 2x2 on website I don't think my tent can take more than a reflector 96. I will probably look to get one next grow depending. So far the 48 is doing well. I've got the veg part on bloom off. Temp is at 78 now.

48 ref advertised coverage space is 60x60cm, I found it closer to 50cm once lowered a bit for power/penetration. A great little light though

I would definitely swap to the 300 once your plant stops vegging and heads into mid to full bloom, it will definitely increase your yield!

You are right Orrganic, when you lower the light, the coverage will be smaller but light more strong, and when you put higher, coverage will be bigger, and light less strong. That is why our recommended flowering coverage is smaller for each light at lower height. :pop:
