When reusing soil I was recommended to recharge it first with real growers recharge. I broke the soil up and there is lots of roots left in the mix. Will this harm anything? Will I need any products like sensizym or hygrozyme or not needed?

Unfortunately it's not that easy.. The idea of reusing soil is based on organic growing or no till growing. If you were feeding the previous plant a nutrient line, I would definitely flush that soil before I reuse it. If you were growing organic or no till, then I would agree that adding recharge and other inoculates like bokashi, is all you really need to do. Same concept with the roots. This is the difference between no till and regular organic growing. With no till, you do not disturb the soil, thus the name. You chop a plant or crop, and just add new seeds or clones in their
place. Roots, like all plant life, is biodegradable. Leaving the roots in place has many benefits, mainly being that they release nutrients as they are broken down. But now that you've already broken up the soil, it won't hurt to take out the root ball and bigger chunks.. It also won't hurt to leave them in.

Yeah I took out the main root ball connected to the main stem/stalk and the roots filled the whole pot so I broke it up. Was feeding mega crop 2 part nutes and I flushed the soil after breaking it up. The seedlings are ripping in it. I was just worried about the old roots. I didnt want them rotting and causing problems like root rot on the new plants. But it sounds like I shud be god to go. Was gonna reuse it once more indoors and then save it for outdoors next season and start with fresh. So use once, reuse twice then save and recycle to outdoor soil for next season is my plan

Hey @Proph how would that work with my soil. I just pulled 2 plants that were in the same soil. No nute line was used, just water and Dr. Earth products. My journal for the soil is "let's make a simple soil "

Thanks
