Hiya growers!

Ok, i use rain water for my plants.

I collect the water and put it in a tank indoors, then my water is at a perfect ph. 6.4-6.6.

But after 24 hours the ph has gone up to over 7 and keep on rising.

I read about air stones in your tank to keep ph in check so i went and got an air stone to put in my tank.

But i still got the exact same rise in ph.

I am NOT growing in hydro, just using the tank to store my rain water and to get it to a good temp, bur how can i get a stable ph in my tank??

Justin

Yeah, i know that. Its just that in winter time i use melted snow, and when then snow just melted and the water was still very cold it had an ph of 4 ish and when the water got warmer the ph got higher. When the water was at room temp the ph was stable at 6.6

Now my rain water at room temp is 7.3.

This dont add up to me.

Edit: And thanks for reply Mossy.

PH is governed by light and heat..so when you move it indoor it Warms up slightly..so the PH rises...

I'm not so sure mossy this is the problem... but we have a rain water expert "muddy" on the team he will know best... Also could your holding container have any slime in it? If its not clean your in danger of brown slime which will cause your PH to rise big time and it don't take very much slime....

No dude, its clean. And only water goes in there.

So i think we can check that one of the list.

Cheers

Edit:And yes, i checked my ph pen. Twice.
