Using 0ppm reverse osmosis water. (tap is 150 and usable but I still prefer pure water for my girls) no chlorine or other crap I don't want in my starting water. Currently I grow with general hydroponics nutrients but am interested in buying greenleaf nutrients. Since I use ro water in hydro I have to add back calcium and magnesium. I use a supplement made by general hydroponics called CaliMagic for that between .2 to .4 ec or 150-200ppm .500 scale before I add my base nutrients as calcium and magnesium are important in our plants health. When using ro water with greenleaf nutrients I know calcium and magnesium are added into mega crop, is there enough calcium and magnesium if using ro water or do I need to buy greenleafs calmag? Or just use my calimagic? Help please. Need to know this before I make any changes and try greenleaf out. I plan to test Greenleaf against general hydroponics to see which I get better results from. I'll stick with what I get the best results with.

I would try both of them. The GL calmagpro might be better for vegging since its 2-0-0. GH calimagic might be better for flower since its 1-0-0. And since its probably hard to see what the perfect answer is, you might want to have both on hand and see just how they work for you in your environment and tune things as you get to understand whats going on especially in veg vs flower.

I know this is an older question but thought i'd comment. With original Megacrop I used RO water and added 30-40 ppms of cal/mag to the solution. with the new Mega 2.0 no extra cal/mag is needed, I'm 2/3 of the way through a grow using nothing but Mega 2.0 and my plants are fine.
