Lighting Roleadro 400 watt cob led

Not that it won't grow or do a good job but take them for face value and nothing more. Some real good info listed above and I like where this forums heading. Efficiency :thumbsup:

To simplify the above comments a little. Most of us cob users buy cobs that range anywhere from 12-50 dollars each and run them around 50 watts each. They are taking a $.50-2.00 cob and running it 4 times harder. For the price the light is built as cheap as possible and will not last if it's run that hard. If it's claimed to equal a 400w and draws less that's a huge exaggeration too.

Companies like this are actually hurting people more than helping. They are jumping on successful lighting tech and ruining people's experience with the cheapest version of the best thing going. @Dudeski u know bro anytime.:toke:

So where is the best place to purchase a good quality pre built cob for guys like me that absolutely do not mess with any kind of wiring? I have to say this was looking tempting but if I can get something much better for a little more then I would do that.

I have two roleadro lights but they aren't cobs. I have their 2nd generation LEDs that are white. They work really well though.
:pass:
Good to know my friend, thank you. I'm looking to upgrade my t5 in my little tent on the cheap. Unfortunately I do not mess with anything electrical lol.

That's the tough part. Most efficient lights sold are a lot of money unless you DIY. You could give the roleadro a shot and see how you do. If things go well you could upgrade at a later date.

I do have a 400 watt hps but that in a 2x2 tent would be way to much, IMO. I like the leds we use but I'd rather have something closer to the suns light spectrum. I really don't like all the purple. Now I do like cfls cause I can play with Kelvin temps but it takes so many and they put out some heat too in a small place. I want a more natural light source with out using HIDs. I went to leds cause of less heat and burns less watts. I checked out @BigSm0 thread and like what he has going on. It's looking like I'm going to build my own and that depends if I can build one cheaper or the same price as a pre built one. There are plenty of grows logged using leds and they work really well but I still believe natural spectrums are better. I want to upgrade my lights and want the best I can build or buy. I'd love to actually build one, I like to be self sufficient. I need to do research on drivers, cobs and types of cobs. Thanks to @Roasty McToasty for pointing me here, well actually to DIY section but thankful nevertheless. I'm 98% sure I'm going to build my own light.

@Pops
If you have anymore questions just ask.

There are leds and there are grow lights. It's tough to figure which is which when most companies selling leds fill the description with nothing but lies. Catchy advertising and some ridiculous wattage claims. Research and good advice are the only things protecting people's best interest.
