On autoflowers, can i harvest just the top cola and buds and leave the lower buds to mature and/or grow larger? I did it once with an outdoor photo-period grow and those lower buds ended up being the best out of the entire grow. My blue himalayas are close to harvest - the top cola and upper buds are large & hard but the lower buds are wee & fluffy. Since these little ladies are only 15" tall, i would like to harvest as much bud as possible (obviously). Not sure if the smaller size and grow periods prohibit that in autos.

I like to think of a plant as a little energy distribution system. If you chop off a cola, a bud, a leaf, any energy that would have otherwise gone to that part is now redistributed to the rest of the plant as it continues to grow.

whoop THANK YOU ive been EVERYWHERE trying to find the answer. I understand a photo period plant CAN be partially harvested but folks made me question myself re autos. Right pip pip off to the groom with my snippers WHOOPATY WHOOP!
