Root Trainer Maxi

Has anyone done a comparison grow starting auto's in Root Trainers vs planting seeds directly in the only/final container?

I have Root Trainers Maxi. 20 CM in depth. I think I can begin seeds in Root Trainers for 10 days or so then transplant into final containers.

Your thoughts on this? Anyone do a test grow to see?

Next month I begin my next cycle of plants. I am going to do a test. 6 seeds.

2 seeds will be started and grown entirely in 7 gallon container.

2 seeds will start in a root trainers maxi for 5 days and then into 7 gallon container.

2 seeds will start in a root trainers maxi for 10 days and then into 7 gallon container.

I want to grow auto's outdoors next spring and I want to know if I can start them in Root Trainers without any significant reduction in harvest weight.
