Hey guys just a quick question on running co2, im going to get a co2 gas bottle 6.35kg. How many times do u think i would need to refill the gas bottle.. lets say weekly period..

thanks AFN:Sharing One:

Hey man, did you clear your inbox out? I tried to respond. I did the math on my space to get to and maintain 1500ppm...I don't have the numbers around
anymore but I have a 10lb tank and calculated that I would have enough CO2 for aprox. 2 grows so I have to think that with your size, you'd at least get one
grow out of a 14lb tank (6.35kg=13.9lbs) at somewhere around the same concentrations. :)

You'll need a regulator with a special timer and some 2 or 3 mil ID silicon hose as well.

bro u helped me soo much thanks, so i guess im running co2 as my first grow :D

One more thing trapper50cal, does co2 run 24hours or only when lights are on...?

best regards

It basically "squirts" for a couple seconds every five minutes or so...as to on/off during lights out...IDK if there is any harm in allowing it to run during lights out and I imagine letting it turn off during lights out just makes it harder to regain concentration once the lights come back on...but someone with more knowledge may chime in. :)

I think I read it does nothing when the lights are off. Dont recall 100%

where would be the best positioning carbon filter exhausting air above lights and co2 hose cos co2 drops, or put da carbon filter at the bottom of grow tent

Most would say above the light fixture to double as temp control...LED...less of a temp problem.

As CO2 is heavier than ambient air, it will drop onto the plants from above...so you'll want the carbon filter above the Co2 delivery
for that reason as well, so you aren't just pumping the Co2 out once it hits the deck. A fan can circulate the Co2 around a bit too.

If you are using a lower heat light source like T5s or LEDs, and have an A/C unit, I would suggest running a closed room. The co2 will replenish what the plants need so no need to bring in outside air and suck out all your co2 in the process. co2 isn't needed at night, only when the lights are on. If you do need to exhaust I would suggest looking at an environmental controller. There are some pretty sophisticated ones available that will control not only your co2, but also your exhaust fan, a/c unit, and humidifier/dehumidifier. Unfortunately they are pretty expensive.

I would also suggest you look at a co2 burner over using bottles. The up front cost is a bit more but they are a lot cheaper to run. In a tent that size one 20 lb. propane tank should last for at keast 2-3 grows. I paid $250 for my burner and $300 for the controller.

So what ur saying is having a carbon filter exhausting the bad air isnt gd whilst running co2 in a sealed grow tent.
