Is it ok if I don't have runoff each time I water??? I am using a 3 gallon pot, and I used a 32oz cup for my watering today. I only water when my pot gets light. On average I water every 4 to 5 days. Does that sound ok??? Thanks!!!!!!
Hey bawse103...sure it's OK. Watering when the pot feels light is the best way. I would only use enough water to have runoff if I wanted to test the pH of the runoff, or if I wanted to flush the grow medium with plain water.
After your plant is sufficient size to handle a full watering then yes, you should be watering until you get runoff of about 10% every time. This ensure that you get your entire pot and roots saturated through, so no dry air pockets occur and it also helps salts from building up although there is less with Organics you can still have build-up so you wanna water all the way through IMO.
What are your temps? or what kind of light do you have on her right now? and your RH? she looks a bit or touch stressed. day 11 (from loosing shell and opening cotyledons) healthy girl, see a bit of difference?
