I am setting up for my first grow in a VERY long time and just completed a PAR chart with my light at various heights and dimmer settings. Some PAR levels were very close at different heights and dimmer settings. I know that lights without dimmers can be raised or lower to achieve a specific PAR.

However, this lead me to wonder if the same amount of PAR, but at different light heights ,would effect the growth height (stretch) of seedlings and plants in general. Taking out the blue light and red light factor, could we say you could make indica plants a little taller with a higher light hang and sativas a little shorter with a shorter hanging height at the same PAR? Or would it have no or little effect once blue and red light are out of the equation?

Not that this would matter to this question, but I have a Phototek 600 W Pro in a 4x4 Gorilla tent. So, I have some room and power to play with.

Thanks!!!
