So I go outside to chat with the ladies with a cup of coffee like every other morning. What's this? Discoloration on the tip of a bud? I prod and poke and notice it's very loose, then I see the poop. And then a tiny poop-laying budworm, and then another.
This is the TIP of the bud - earliest I've ever found the damage, and smallest budworm I've ever seen... So I poke around and find another stem infested. I already know regardless of whether or not it's done, **I'm done!!**

I asked Joe what we should do to it, and he lit his lighter. I LOVE THAT MAN!! So we burned him/her alive! :X's Evil Laugh x:
(read back in this thread for my history with these fuckers if you're interested)
Turns out the picture above actually shows some amber trichomes (my friends magnified it and showed me), so the plant is ready to go! Still had a bit of white hairs and I wasn't even checking yet - so maybe it's a blessing but not really...
After consulting my peeps I went outside to check the other 2 not in the netting, and worms on the first plant were crawling out of the buds into the sunshine and standing up (so creepy! lol), as if to say "Fuck YOU, Sapphire! This is deeeeelicious!" So I plucked their little asses off one at a time, smashing them between my fingers. I used to be so kind... Now I'm homicidal!
The OTHER white dragon out there ALSO has budworms - but it's HUGE, and purple, and a totally different pheno than the other 2, which are the smallest in the garden... These worms were large and green tho - lots of damage at the stem... I'm pretty devastated over this one!! I've always had trouble getting a good picture of that plant because it's in front of the rose bush.
So we chopped the two with budworms - fortunately it's been all I can do to water them and keep them from wilting so I haven't been feeding lately... Only fortunate because I don't have to worry about flushing. The last dragon was ironically the furthest along and was going to be the first one I harvested, so all 3 dragons are hanging up now.
This was white dragon 3, protected by the netting, so no budworms, and she's ripe and ready!

Here are white dragons 1 & 2 hanging (2 is the larger one) - pardon the mess and discolored leaves... I was lucky to keep them watered... please don't judge, thought you'd want to see....

The race is ON between the budworms and I. How much more damage will they do before the plants dry enough for trimming? I'll go in tonight and take off the bulky leaves while the worms are feeding. As they dried last year we saw them webbing down out of the buds - SO AWFUL!!
What? The rest of them? Let's talk about them later, OK? I'm all chatted out! :High 5: :smokebuds:
Anyone read this far? lol Sorry bout all the blabbin! :coffee break:
