Outdoor Sapphire's Garden 2013

Wow, Sapphire! Been a while since I popped in on you and phew have you been busy. That yard looks wonderful! What an amazing job you have done. Let me hit you with some rep while I am dropping in just to keep the photos coming.

Hey Sapphire.
All of your ladies look absolutely amazing!

It blows my mind how big your girls are, and how much further they are ahead of mine, due to the difference in Latitude.
It looks like you should be set for meds for the year.

You are so right in that Photos are a cake walk grown outdoors over Autos.

I will just end up showing any more pics of my photos at the end of the season. Either no time or no energy.

Sorry my friend, but that is all I have in me to type right now. You know the knarly brain fog, due to CP and CFS.

Hope you are doing well!

Thanks so much for the rep, A4! Time is flying, but I'm finally back with some pics... :D

Hey Stick! They are definitely coming along! :stylez rasta smoke: Please don't ever worry about responding with few or many words - I 100% understand, and do the best I can also.

Mkay, I'm about to blabber on so I think I'll make another post. Thanks to you both for stopping by! :smokebuds:

So I go outside to chat with the ladies with a cup of coffee like every other morning. What's this? Discoloration on the tip of a bud? I prod and poke and notice it's very loose, then I see the poop. And then a tiny poop-laying budworm, and then another.

This is the TIP of the bud - earliest I've ever found the damage, and smallest budworm I've ever seen... So I poke around and find another stem infested. I already know regardless of whether or not it's done, **I'm done!!** :cuss::finger: I asked Joe what we should do to it, and he lit his lighter. I LOVE THAT MAN!! So we burned him/her alive! :X's Evil Laugh x:
(read back in this thread for my history with these fuckers if you're interested)

Turns out the picture above actually shows some amber trichomes (my friends magnified it and showed me), so the plant is ready to go! Still had a bit of white hairs and I wasn't even checking yet - so maybe it's a blessing but not really...

After consulting my peeps I went outside to check the other 2 not in the netting, and worms on the first plant were crawling out of the buds into the sunshine and standing up (so creepy! lol), as if to say "Fuck YOU, Sapphire! This is deeeeelicious!" So I plucked their little asses off one at a time, smashing them between my fingers. I used to be so kind... Now I'm homicidal!

The OTHER white dragon out there ALSO has budworms - but it's HUGE, and purple, and a totally different pheno than the other 2, which are the smallest in the garden... These worms were large and green tho - lots of damage at the stem... I'm pretty devastated over this one!! I've always had trouble getting a good picture of that plant because it's in front of the rose bush.

So we chopped the two with budworms - fortunately it's been all I can do to water them and keep them from wilting so I haven't been feeding lately... Only fortunate because I don't have to worry about flushing. The last dragon was ironically the furthest along and was going to be the first one I harvested, so all 3 dragons are hanging up now.

This was white dragon 3, protected by the netting, so no budworms, and she's ripe and ready!

Here are white dragons 1 & 2 hanging (2 is the larger one) - pardon the mess and discolored leaves... I was lucky to keep them watered... please don't judge, thought you'd want to see.... :WTF::face:

The race is ON between the budworms and I. How much more damage will they do before the plants dry enough for trimming? I'll go in tonight and take off the bulky leaves while the worms are feeding. As they dried last year we saw them webbing down out of the buds - SO AWFUL!!

What? The rest of them? Let's talk about them later, OK? I'm all chatted out! :High 5: :smokebuds:

Anyone read this far? lol Sorry bout all the blabbin! :coffee break:

The ladies have been through one rain so far this season, not even very rainy or windy, and this happened:

I really don't understand how they got so messed up, but they weren't happy.

We propped up the ones that were willing:

Fortunately, the ladies are still growing and maturing. Here are some bud pics that don't do a bit of justice.

First two are NYPD, other two are LAC.

OH - the White Dragon is freaking AMAZEBALLS! It's an Indica that is already pretty stoney, even though barely cured. Harvested a tidy sum from the 3 plants (QP from the largest one), and have LOTS of trim for baking and blasting.

...and 8 more to go!

Feeling short on words, you lucky folks! LOL See you when I see you!

xo  Sapphire

i just read through your whole thread here to get caught up and what a journey you have gone through to get these pretty ladies this far!!! so congrats to you :Cushty:

and a big fuck you to those nasty ass budworms....:face: lol

those are some nice fat colas and a great pull off those ladies you have took.

any updates on the remaining??? has the weather held out for you???

Hope all is well with you and your grow Sapphire.:stylez rasta smoke:

Thanks for asking, Sir grow alot, and thanks for checkin in Jayp!

One LA cheese has been trimmed and jarred since the last update, and still have 7 ladies in the yard!

The weather has been 50F at night and I think it's holding them back. I mean it's mid-October!! This time last year all were done, but I'm still waiting on some amber trichs & at least a LITTLE fading yellow on the upper fan leaves on most of them. The Amnesia Haze has some gigantic buds going, but ALL white hairs! LOL Just getting some cloudiness to the trichomes. I'm getting tired of worrying over the backyard every night!

:) I'll have more updates later.

i hope all is well with you sapphire420,:Piggy Hug:

been looking forward to those updates on the la cheese shots and other 7 ladies!!!:smokebuds:
hope to hear from ya soon :High 5:
