That new ventalation is mean mate and dont worry about the beans popping im sure they will, When i use the shot glass for 12-24 hrs i make sure my beans sink to the bottom if they havent just tap the seed and it usualy goes down thats a sign its ready for the paper towel/soil... When i put them in the paper towels i pure all the water out the shot glass over the paper towel then leave for 24hrs by then the tap root is always a good inch long

My fast bud took a while to get going had a big ass tap root after like 36hrs but took ages to start growing its like 2 weeks in and only got 2nd node spacing its pissing me of so i know u must be a bit miffed too some speedy bean karma sent your way

Thanks for the input. I feel like this is my first grow with my impatience. I literally am watching the grass grow. The paper towel method is fast but I always freak out about damaging the tap, and every grow I've done it that way and every grow I get a rouge yellow seedling that just dies before getting the first set. So I thought maybe I'd let the seeds do their thing this time and maybe there won't be any yellow ones.

Adding to the anticipation is that my last grow yielded only 30 grams from 3 plants which is not enough to last me through this grow, so I really can't wait to have enough weed to not have to ration it. I got used to having a few oz's laying around haha. I don't even know how much shake I've just brushed off into the trash can since I've been growing. I thought the days of scraping bowls for resin were behind me haha.

I have a second sprout now, so in the next couple days I imagine I'll see the rest.

Slow growers are agonizing, hopefully yours speed up too.

Glad you have number2 sprouted and yeh its crap waiting for slow starters but when they take of you will be fine:dance::dance: Ive had to ration my MI5 from last harvest till now and im on my last 3 buds lol till my Bubble and Bomb are done next week so i carnt wait :smokebuds: the next lot will have to last me till i move house and start a new grow so like 8-10 wks arrrrggghhh

Week One

So after a week I've got 4 of 6 seedlings. One of the Purple Mazars is a yellow dud, I always get one, and so far the second White Sirus is a no-show. This is my first time going soilless so I didn't know what to do for nutes since there's none in the medium. I decided to do a very light feeding. 1 tsp/gal of Big Bloom. It's bat guano and earthworm castings, and of the Trio I believe it's the only organic product, also soil was a little hot so I poured some lime through.

Here's some pics, not much to get excited about this early on.

I started 8 seeds in paper towels this morning, they're from a purple mazar that I pollinated with white Sirus DNA, purple Sirus Or white mazar, maybe I'll make up a name once I smoke it haha. Speaking of the white Sirus is leafing out weird again, I'll post pics later. Last time I got a male, a deformed runt, and very small ws that made it to chop, this time I've got a no germ, and a small possible runt with deformed and unsymmetrical growth. Maybe I got a crap batch of seeds, or maybe the genetics aren't quite ready for distribution yet they are test seeds after all. My synopsis is ws has problems ATM, though there are a couple successful grows of it on here. But I'd wait to purchase them for a while.

The other plants are doing fine and I think I have my first actually purple pm, it is pretty early to say though. I'm starting to wonder if my lighthouse 90w led is enough to veg a bunch of plants, it's specs said 2 square feet but I'll be packing like 8 or nine babies in that space. I have cfls to supplement, I hope not to buy anothe led but I really don't want to clutter up my space with cfls.

Hi Savoy, like ur idea of startin seeds evry 3 wks or so,,i was thinkin along the same lines so i decided to give it a go with the Auto Fem Seeds. I figured i could do 4 plants & evry 2wks germinate another 4 & so on. If it works out i would be harvestin 4 plants evry 2wks..Because i start my seeds in a separete room & grow them under my T5 light i keep them in there for 2wks then transplant & move them under my 600watt HPS. If the autos go seed to harvest in 10wks then i should be able to hav 16 6.5lt pots in my tent at any single time. Iv got my first 4 on to day 23 & my 2nd 4 ar a week old in my propergator,my 3rd 4 are in a glass jar swimmin in water & ready to go lol..I hope ur grow goes well, enjoy m8..:smokebuds:
