I had low temps early on. I have kept it between 68 and 82 farenheit. I am trying to decide how to make my next start much better. When I Ph my water should I leave it for a while and check again? I am using RO water.
RO requires an additive to ph and then water. You don't need to leave it out because it doesn't have anything to shed like normal tap water.I am using RO water.
With soil try this routine. Water to some runoff, wait 5 or 6 hours then plant germed seeds. Wait for pot to dry well before watering again. Lift one side of the pot with thumb and index finger. Get used to how that feels after watering and when dry. Soon enough you will know when to water.I think I did not let them germinate long enough and then overwatered because I was eager.

Yes, ph all feedings. RO ph is very low. That is why an additive is needed when you ph RO.Should I Ph my RO water down to 6.5? Or should I not bother with Ph until I add nutes? I have been trying to get the hang of feeling the weight. I will do the lift from one side method -- thanks!

No, not counting up/down. I have whole house filtered water, so I supercharge my first watering with Rhizzotonic and or calmag. I use those two in very small amounts for seed/seedlings. Just be careful not to use a large amount. With nutes and autoflowers, it's best to start with 1/4 of the published amount and see how they react and whether you will need to add more or less.I have Ph up and down, is this the additive I need or is there something else I need to get my pen to read the water?

The 1/4 amount is when the plants are a little more established. Just use a small amount in the very beginning which will yes, give you the ability to ph.Ok, so if I add in 1/4 strength CalMag I should be able to Ph like normal? I meant to get Rhizzotonic too but I spaced on the name at my local garden shop!
