Outdoor SCH and Superstinky Northern Europe outdoor grow

High!

Nice report bro :)

Am doing 2 SCH (only 9 days old) but wanted to know how did you use your Ripen?
Before starting Super Auto, did some reading and got somewhere STITCH mentioning using up to 3 x the full dose on Ripen bottle on last days....

Peace!

Hello there Tokaite, i used the ripen in september to speed up the finishing process as the weather/ environment was causing the plants to mould, good luck with yours.

@Tokaite, I think the main purpose of Ripen is to force the plants to finish if outdoor conditions wouldn't allow normal finishing times.
So if you are doing an indoor grow in pots, forget the 3x doses, in my opinion it's not the way to go. Maybe use it just a bit before the final flush.

I prefer the plants to die naturally, not to force them doing so. Maybe I'd only use it in case of really extreme weather compromising the finish.
I really like the saying - less is more:)

Hi Maffro, that certainly was in interesting and worthwhile read. I would really love to know how you rate the superauto experience compared to the "ordinary" autos. It looks as though these strains really do need the whole of the growing season, including a healthy head start in the spring to avoid issues late in the season. Do you think they are any more, or less, susceptible to rot problems (aside from the obvious issue that they take longer to finish, so could be finishing later in the season)?

I am considering Chaze for next year, as some sources seem to suggest that it is hardier than many other auto strains ("Strong plant that stands high humidity, cold weather and difficulties"). However, I'm not much of a Haze fan, so maybe it wouldn't be such a great idea. Do you prefer the Haze type varieties, or did you pick those varieties for their likelihood of success?

Would you recommend the Ripen for more rapid finishing of plants when conditions get bad in the future? Your buds certainly seemed to fill out OK right at the end.

Hello there doctor
I picked the superautos to experiment really, i grow outdoors and have to be self sufficient for the year so i like to have a selection as i get used to strains quick and like to mix it and keep it fresh. The haze varieties should be better at mould preventions as the buds are fluffier and more air can circulate. I would recommend ripen to force finishing but id rather have them finish normally, next year ill start them earlier, germinating April 1st ? im pretty sure this will increase the yield too.
The superauto experience was pretty good for me, im sure i was no where near growing them to their full potential but im more than happy with the potency of the weed !

Thanks Maffro, I guess that if you're growing guerrillas in the mist again then an earlier start will probably mean you planting out larger plants slightly earlier in the year, which could make hardening them off a little trickier. Good luck to you for next year, I'll no doubt be following your progress.
