Yep , just like a old scrub chook I have been scratching around in the dirt looking for worms  and bugger me what did I find . --- worm castings , a whole heap of them and I have about 4 litre so far :d5: more free organic fert . Saves me it bit of money as the shipping cost can cost more than the price the product costs -- :cooldance:

I can't remember what those are called, but its some good ferts I bet. What kind of worms do you have there?

Our homegrown worm castings don't have any form or shape. Just like finely screened soil. Your worm looks like what we call an earthworm, and I can't say I've seen theirs. But there's a post here somewhere that showed some pellet looking things like you found.

If they're rat droppings they'll hold their shape when you stir them around won't they? Been quite a while since I had my pet rat lol. Worm casting might crumble down easily into a soil-like texture. Of course you got different critters in Oz.
