Grow Mediums Second Grow. Dark Devil Hydro.

That's impressive! My last grow with the superbox just yielded 1oz so that's why I was so worried but I will take your advice and pop 2-3 [emoji4]

I got to admit it was a bit nerve wracking letting my last one grow upward pretty much unrestrained in my 59" tent but I'm happy to do it again now as it is much easier than scrogging/sogging! I dream of a tent your tall so you should do fine with 2-3 plants and little bit of LST.

I find that pulling the top of the plant over at 2 weeks and tieing it down for the rest of the grow works well in a short space with the SuperPonics 8. I tried 6 plants and that was too many. I am just finishing up with 2 plants and am now going to try 4. The tent I have has a meter square footprint. So far my yeilds are about 1oz per. Cheers

Not bad at all jack, ima maybe push the same, last time I did 3 but I do have 2 super 8 systems so maybe I could do 2 and 2 to allow more root growth? That's a big reason why I want to try bubble buckets soon.

toematoe, I also worry about the size of the res and root growth with that unit. But I have 24" of vertical grow space so I'm trying to do a kind of modified SOG. I want a short plant so I haven't worried about the plant being a little stunted. If I had ample vertical space I'd do what you're suggesting and try to get a higher yield per plant. One realization I've come to is that trying to grow more than one type of plant per unit is a bad idea. I am building some bubble buckets to separate my plants. Cheers

It has begun! Started out my last 5 Dark Devils, soaked rockwool in 5.5ph water and inserted each cube within a plastic bag to contain humidity. This was very successful my last run with generating great color rather than other germ methods I've tried. Got the 150w hps going at almost 2 ft above cubes with a temp of 85 roughly and 60% humidity. Hopefully they take off quick, tomorrow I'll hand feed with ph balanced water. uploadfromtaptalk1411969802877.jpg

About to be Day 2. Transferred cubes in partial hydroton pebbles. Inserted some 5.5ph water in res and started both air pumps, leaving the plastic bags slightly cracked until I get some good pops. Also inserted other net pots with aluminum foil to reflect rays. Humidity is tough to manage it's always really low for me in starting stages but hopefully the bags do some justice. I'm feeding 5.5ph water every 12 hours and now every 6, I typically just read the rockwool and see what it wants. Temp is on point in mid to high 70's as well. Hopefully they pop in the next day or so. uploadfromtaptalk1412121676030.jpg

As of day 4 I have one popped, little worried but I'll give them till tomorrow night to start poking around and start re thinking a game plan. My only other seeds are some free seeds I got from herbies which some are feminized but wouldn't be auto's. These are my last 5 so hopefully they pull through!

So I went digging slightly and have found that all the seedlings popped inside but haven't pushed through, I didn't tamper with them too much, just covered them back up lightly and I will give them till the morning to pull through, if they don't I'll go in and lend them a hand and hopefully try to save them, if I can get 2-3 to survive I can use one res for the DD autos and I could start 2 Delicious cotton candy in the other if some do fail.

So sadly as of Day 6 I had some bad luck and only got 1 out of 5 seeds to pop, very depressing and expensive. From what you see in the photos the rest are just white little tap roots, I've left them in there hoping they pull through. Might be over watering perhaps, I believe the air stones creating the bubbling in the resevoir might have reached the cubes and over saturated them. I've started two regular feminized seeds, Delicious Fruity Chronic Juice. Hopefully I have some luck with these or with the DD'S that haven't popped yet.

Pronounced 3 DD'S dead today :( very depressing but I feel like I know what I did wrong with over saturating them. The one that did pop though has explosive growth for Day 7 with already having a 4 inch tap root. Which lead me to believe the others are probably dead hahah. Hopefully the chronic juice seeds pull through.
