Very sad day had a mold outbreak in one jar and lost around 14g, any advice on possibly salvaging this? Maybe running it through my vacuum chamber. Cooking it around 300° for 15 minutes then making butter. Or anything that might be able to salvage it as bud?

No-one will really encourage you to smoke bud you know might be or is moldy.

But you can certainly make edibles out of it using the process you mentioned.
Again, it is probably best that you not smoke stuff that was known to be contaminated by mold.

actually... from what I have read and studied, it is better to smoke than eat anything with mold on it as smoking temperatures destroy dangerous compounds that the mold makes. the best ay I know is to make ISO with it and then smoke the hash..

if you choose to... I recommend very highly the patience drying method with a small fan... rather than using heat. :check:

I'm highly interested in doing a coconut oil extraction involving a water rinse and a bit of a cook inside the oven at 220° for 20 mins then placed inside crock pot for several hours along with coconut oil, then turned into capsules. Or would I be better off cooking with the oil from there? Otherwise if all else fails I got plenty of bho equipment but I don't have the necessary amount for my tube to be filled.

You can add 1 tablespoon 3% H202 to a large bowl of water. Add the buds and agitate the water with a spoon or fingers. Wait a few minutes and watch the mold rise to the top of the water. Skim off and agitate again. Repeat this a few times until no mold rises. Then dry buds very well with a fan. Then let buds cure in a dry place. Should get rid of 99% of mold.


I found moldy buds give a heady effect, then a shocking headache afterwards.

Appreciate the knowledge my friend. Now for my personal process (in a nutshell) 1. Pack tube, blast with tane onto pyrex at 120 degrees purge for 30 min or till reaction stops. 2. Scrape and place onto parchment. 3. Place inside vacuum chamber and purge at low 100's for 2-3 days. Should i add in any process other than what ive been doing for a long time to eliminate any mold or from what i have read will it all get caught in the screen at initial blast? I might use organic coffee filters instead of the usual mesh screen for my glass tube to assure myself no mold particles get through.

Side note: Just placed all buds in separated brown paper bag for the past 24 hours to dry out an additional moisture. Replaced them all separated within jars again and will continue cure, the non contaminated reached 28g so big bummer shouldnt have skipped the paper bag stage ive previously done or just let them hang longer. Definitely wont make that mistake again with next harvest coming up. As for the FCJ's the two girls are over 6ft in height and starting to produce some nice white hairs on all bud sites, its been a challenge to contain the growth spurt but Ive done some minimal LST of certain parts as my lights are almost to the ceiling, will post photos soon.
